Amazing vacation

Great house, great stay!

The villa is well located with a few shops and restaurants nearby. It is well furnished, the swimming-pool is great and the garden is huge. We will definitely come back if we can and we highly recommend the place to anyone interested. Thanks a lot Cristina und Annibal for this lovely stay!!

Lovely Family Villa

We stayed at the villa for 8 nights. Met by Annibale and his wife who quickly replied to any questions we had. During the week. Check-in was straightforward. Villa was spotless. The villa was very spacious, outside the garden was very big and our dog enjoyed chasing her Frisbee . We even got some freshly laid eggs from the next door neighbour. Overall highly recommend the villa.

Totally Amazing

Beautiful villa ! The view of the hills of Tuscany was amazing. 3 outdoor eating areas, nice pool, large villa that was spotless. Cristina and Annobile are very caring and attentive hosts. Great location. Great restaurants in Marlia. Our stay was absolutely perfect.

Great villa near Lucca

We really enjoyed the hospitality of Cristina & Annibale. They have a terrific villa - very large with a great garden and pool. They were kind enough to provide us with a baby cot & pram. Overall - highly recommended!

Nice place in Toscana

We had a lovely holiday in the area near Lucca. We lived in a beautiful house with all comforts. There was a large, lovely garden with a pool, plenty of space for fun and relaxation. Ideal for our plans to visit Lucca and do some walking in the hills. Villa well equipped.

Great size for 6 people with a fantastic view from the rear garden up to the hills the other side of the village-only issue was that it is on a main road that has lorries trundling past interriptingvthr birdsong in the garden

Immaculate villa

Had a lovely week here. The house is beautifully kept, and the garden and pool area were immaculate. The local area has a little shop and a couple of pizza places of which we really liked Basilico. Easy to get to Lucca, and to use as a base for exploring Tuscany. My only suggestion would be for a fan in the bedrooms, as it did get a bit hot in there. Overall, we were really impressed

Big and comfortable

We (two families with little kids) had a very nice time at this villa. The hosts were friendly and flexible when we had to adjust our plans and took care of some issues really fast. Communication was no problem. Unfortunately it was too cold to use the pool, but the garden is very big so there was enough space to play outside. The villa is located very good, so it is easy to reach several different tourist destinations.

Beautiful Villa

We have just returned from this villa with its amazing views, large beautiful house and garden. The photos on the website don't do the house and its grounds justice, as the property was stunning. We used the bikes to venture into Lucca which only took 40 mins, where there is an abundance of restaurants. I would definitely recommend this villa to friends and family. Our hosts were extremely hospitable and friendly, giving advice when needed. Many thanks Cristina and Hannibal for a very relaxing holiday. From The Cromptons

Charming Home/Landscape and Relaxing Stay

Our family of 6 LOVED this home. Annibale and his wife Cristina greeted us with a bottle of Italian wine, the keys and showed us around upon arrival. There is even a detailed binder of things to go to around the area. Great communication and he even made a reservation for us when we asked since we don’t speak good Italian. We were able to make great food and used the charcoal grill at the house. The kids loved the pool even during the colder weather. They loved to be outside and roam around within the safety of the gated yard. (Just if you have younger kids the pool is open space). So much space inside for 4 kids to relax and a private master suite for parents. So many places to sit and to enjoy outside with a beautiful view. Only thing during the week there are loud work trucks going by but nothing big of a deal! Overall wonderful experience! We will go back if we can!

Fantastic house, especially the pool. Location V Good. Hosts were very helpful

When we arrived we were welcomed with a bottle of red. Perfect after a long drive. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with local attractions etc. They seemed to have put a lot of work into their folder of things to do and see. The house is wonderfully decorated and well maintained. The garden and pool was where the holiday came to life with our two cockers running riot The local shops and folk were again very friendly and their English was miles better than our Italian. We would truly recommend this property and will definitely plan to stay here again in the near future. Thanks Again Cristina Trevor and Krissy East Yorkshire

Fantastic Holiday Home

Many thanks to Cristina and Annibale who gave our family a very warm welcome and were perfect hosts throughout our stay. We loved the villa and especially the beautiful garden and pool - which was immaculate, cleaned every day by Annibale. We ate every meal outside and enjoyed using the barbeque. The villa was kept at a good temperature with the air conditioning, the bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. This is a wonderful area to stay in. We loved Lucca - cycling round the city walls, wandering from one exquisite square to the next and visiting the cathedral and numerous churches. The children especially enjoyed climbing several towers from which we took in fantastic views. We visited Florence, Pisa and several smaller towns and villages recommended by our hosts who kindly provide GPS coordinates for parking which are extremely helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend this lovely villa for a family holiday. Many thanks again to our gracious hosts.

Fantastic Holiday in Lucca

We visited with our 4 kids, aged 10,12,16 and 21. The villa is located in a quiet residential area, with a few shops and restaurants nearby. The villa is amazing. Huge indoor space. Beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The garden is massive, and completely enclosed, with stunning views of the mountains. Outdoor dinning area is lovely. The washing machine in the outside utility room was very useful. The swimming pool was nice and warm, it is a constant depth of 1.5 meters, so all my kids were on their depth ensuring safety. The owner Annibale was very friendly and helpful. He lives opposite, so is always available to help. He cleaned the pool and outdoor space early every morning. The city of Lucca is a 10 minute drive away. There are several supermarkets there. This is perfect location to explore the surrounding area. We had a great holiday Thanks Russ and Lorraine.

Holiday

A fabulous, family villa, spotlessly clean and great amenities. The garden is stunning, well manicured with beautiful views of the Tuscan hills. We had great fun in the pool, cleaned daily by the hosts. Plenty of sun loungers and great shady areas if you seek respite from the sun. Our hosts, Annibale and his lovely wife were incredible, providing a friendly welcome and accommodating all of our needs. On hand and most helpful at all times. We are so grateful for their kindness and support. A short walk into Marlia village where you can find a wonderful patisserie selling delicious breads, sandwiches, cakes, pastries and coffee. On the main street there are Pizzerias, bars, gelaterias , supermarket, pharmacy and many more. Service always friendly and helpful. A good bus service into the stunning walled city of Lucca for €1.50 and where you can take the train to other destinations. A superb holiday!

Gateway to Lucca and Nearby Attractions

First, our hosts, Annibale and Cristina were lovely, and extremely helpful and communicative before booking and in the months leading up to our stay. Visiting for a wedding, upon arrival, they made appointments for our wives at a nearby hair salon! The one-floor villa is spacious, with two large, updated bathrooms, functional kitchen, tile floors, comfortable beds, lots of dresser and armoire space for clothes, and as advertised, is mostly handicap accessible (one step up). Oh, the air conditioning, something tough to find in Italy, is excellent! The grounds are large, attractive and well-kept, with grape arbors, a nice-sized, very clean pool and ample lounge chairs and seating areas. The off-road gravel parking area fits multiple cars, and is protected by a nifty remote-controlled gate with automatic lights. The villa is located in Marlia, a town mixed with homes, farms and commerce, only 12 minutes from Lucca's Porto Santa Maria. It is a great base for day trips to nearby towns and wineries. One nit-pick is the presence of high voltage power lines behind what is otherwise a beautiful yard.

Perfect

The villa was just perfect for us: a party of 6 adults including 2 Mums aged 77 and 89. The rooms were large, light and spacious and all were tastefully decorated whilst the furniture, light fittings, artwork and photos added to the ambience. A definite bonus was ample storage space to unpack our bags and put everything away tidily. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The garden was equally impressive with numerous places to sit and eat/read/relax/sun bathe, the fantastic pool and a large lawn suitable for games (although we never caught the Mums playing football!). About a minutes walk away from the villa is a great pasticceria and in less than 10 minutes more you can reach most of your basic shopping needs. There are also plenty of supermarkets in under a 15 minute drive. Cristina and Annibale were wonderful hosts. There to greet us and show us around when we arrived, discretely cleaning the pool and recycling early every morning and cutting the grass and tending to the garden whilst we were out. They were never intrusive but always available if needed. We would like to thank them for going the extra mile - the evenings turned unexpectedly cool during our second week and without any request from ourselves the heating system was flushed through and fired up which was greatly appreciated, especially by the Mums.

Wir sind sehr begeistert von dieser wunderschönen Unterkunft. Alles ist prima mit dem elektrischen Rollstuhl befahrbar. Unsere zwei Retriever waren sehr willkommen und durften sogar mit uns in den Pool, der jeden Morgen von den Besitzern gereinigt wurde. Wir hatten einen sehr erholsamen Aufenthalt und kommen gerne wieder!

Es war ein schöner, erholsamer Urlaub mit viel Platz für uns und die Hunde. Der Gastgeber war immer da, wenn man was brauchte!Die Klimaanlage war Super bei dieser Hitze!Man müsste vielleicht mal ein paar Sachen im Haus austauschen, aber sonst war es ein super Urlaub.

La casa esta genial .Muy comoda para personas en sillas de ruedas, bien ubicada para visitar la toscana,Florencia, Siena. Pizza Lucca.... El tener una piscina es muy de agradecer sobretodo cuando hace calor.La decoracion me recordaba a la tipica pelucula en la que los acontecimientos transcurren en un ligar de la toscna.No le dodemos poner ningun pero a la casa.Altamente recomendable su alquiler Annibale fue desde el principo muy smsnke y atento

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Familienurlaub!

Wir waren 4 Erwachsene, ein Kind (10) und ein Hund. Das Haus war sauber und top ausgestattet. Alle technischen Geräte (vor allem die Klimaanlagen in jedem Raum) haben perfekt funktioniert. Der Außenbereich ist der Wahnsinn! Ein großer Pool, Sitz und Liegemöglichkeiten im Schatten und ganz viel Platz für Kind und Hund zum toben. Ein ganz großer Vorteil hierbei ist, dass das Grundstück komplett geschlossen ist und man keine Angst haben muss, dass der Hund oder das Kind verloren geht :-) Die Gastgeber haben jeden Morgen den Pool gereinigt, den Grill sauber gemacht und waren jederzeit ansprechbar und haben uns z.B. auch ein Taxi für die Fahrt an den Flughafen gebucht. In 5 Minuten ist man beim nächsten Supermarkt (Essalungo). Dieser bietet eine tolle Auswahl und ist schön eingerichtet. Da wir uns keine Ausflüge gemacht haben (es war viel zu heiß) kann ich leider nichts zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten oder dem Strand in der Umgebung erzählen. Hierfür ist aber von den Gastgebern bereits ein Ordner vor Ort hinterlegt, in dem man alle Strände, Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants, usw. findet und sich dann das beste aussuchen kann. Rundum ein ganz toller Urlaub ohne wirklichen Kritikpunkt. Das einzige sind vielleicht die Stühle am Esstisch im Außenbereich. Diese sind nicht so ganz bequem, aber das ist wirklich Jammern auf hohem Niveau. Ganz lieben Dank an Cristina und Annibal für diesen tollen Urlaub!! Wir empfehlen euch jederzeit weiter!!
