  • Let me preface these discoveries by saying that I ended up in Calella haphazardly. It is not necessarily a town that I would generally recommend. It is not your traditional Spanish/Catalan dream destination. It very much looks like something the 70's spit out and no one ever bothered to clean up. With that said, I freaking love this little freakish town, which I quickly & affectionately nicknamed "The Twilight Zone." The strangest occurrences happened throughout the month, yes MONTH, I lived in Calella. Apparently since the 70's, Calella, was a booming tourist destination for Western Europeans and the British. It has been on a massive decline over the past decade. What's left behind though are some fun Dutch and English/Irish pubs, a small welcoming expat community, and one of the most incredible beaches you will ever lay your eyes on. Beautiful clean white sand for miles and crystal clear turquoise water. Parties & bars on the beach, some free concerts in the summer time and of course drinking it allowed as well. If you happen to find yourself here, you must stop in at Beach Boys Club, tell the owners, Brian & Cathy, that Amber sent you. Then hit up Brian for his secret stash of American imported Budweiser (Did you know the bottled stuff is always produced in country? Brian believes the secrets in the water, so he gets the cans from the US. Brian is British, which makes this little story even better.) Also, be prepared to eat a lot of rotisserie chicken.

bonjour, Nous sommes venus ici pour le Grand Prix de F1, hôtel bien placé mais dans la fleur de l’âge (datant sûrement des JO1992). Hôtel propre mais miteux. Gérant très gentil, et serviable. La clim est demander. Les chambres de 3 c’est une arnaque, il a juste rajouté un lit, on peut pas respirer la nuit. La douche a une douche pour animal, le jet est agréable dans les endroits… A refaire (la chambre) Avec plaisir. Bonne journée.

Las camas son muy incómodas. La habitación no tiene televisión ni aire acondicionado. Las paredes son de papel y e escucha todo. No tiene variedad de almuerzo ni cena en los días, con muy pocas opciones de menú. No lo recomiendo....

He dormido en muchos antros. Pero lo q diferencia con este es que he dormido. Aqui es imposible dormir, la primera noche unos inquilinos a gritos y portazos ( hasta aqui no es culpa del propietario) pero que tengan otros huespedes q llamar a la policia a las 7 de la mañana para acabar con los gritos si es su culpa, el guarda de la noche para que esta?. Aparte de esto mi colchon no era digno ni de Guantanamo, de espuma deformado y clavandome una madera horizontal en el lumbar toda la noche, vamos q la segunda noche tuve q dormir en el suelo para poder dormir. Asi q pagar para dormir en el suelo...no se si vale la pena. Desayuno: madalenas embasadas y croasanes igual. Pan de molde y embutidos de tercera, eso es todo. Si eres vegano que te aproveche el pan, por q es lo unico q podras comer. Instalaciones, salvo la piscina ( un poco descuidada) pero bien. Pero vamos, leer bien todo, sin aire, sin tele y sin wifi gratuito en la habitaciones, EN 2020¡¡¡¡ flipo

Chambre sale et minuscule, patron pas causant et qui n'explique rien, hôtel pas du tout insonorisées on avait l'impression d'être dans un dortoir avec tout le monde qui parlent en même temps et très fort.seul parking pour se garer juste à côté de l'endroit où les poubelles sont vidées par les camions, lit tout petit pour 2 personnes, chasse d'eau qui tire toute seule toute la nuit, salle de bain vétuste. Prise de courant pas au norme

personale,(credo fosse il proprietario di persona), molto gentile,sempre presente la zona è un po fuori,ma si parla di una decina di minuti massimo,Calella è un paesone,si raggiunge tutto con una passeggiata a piedi,anzi a Settembre non si nota perchè più calmo,ma in alta stagione con tutti i gruppi di giovani e giovanissimi a scorazzare e fare baccano,l'essere un po fuori mano potrebbe anche essere una cosa positiva la struttura è vecchiotta, penso anni 70,e tutte le finiture e gli accessori risalgono a quel periodo muri sottili,che si sente se il vicino russa,vetri non doppi,sanitari quelli con la catenella in ferro da tirare, ecc,tutte cose che fanno la funzione che devono fare, ma adesso ci sono cose migliori. ad ogni modo per un fine settimana,ci posso anche tornare,per soggiorni di più giorni meglio orientarsi su altro
