  • Let me preface these discoveries by saying that I ended up in Calella haphazardly. It is not necessarily a town that I would generally recommend. It is not your traditional Spanish/Catalan dream destination. It very much looks like something the 70's spit out and no one ever bothered to clean up. With that said, I freaking love this little freakish town, which I quickly & affectionately nicknamed "The Twilight Zone." The strangest occurrences happened throughout the month, yes MONTH, I lived in Calella. Apparently since the 70's, Calella, was a booming tourist destination for Western Europeans and the British. It has been on a massive decline over the past decade. What's left behind though are some fun Dutch and English/Irish pubs, a small welcoming expat community, and one of the most incredible beaches you will ever lay your eyes on. Beautiful clean white sand for miles and crystal clear turquoise water. Parties & bars on the beach, some free concerts in the summer time and of course drinking it allowed as well. If you happen to find yourself here, you must stop in at Beach Boys Club, tell the owners, Brian & Cathy, that Amber sent you. Then hit up Brian for his secret stash of American imported Budweiser (Did you know the bottled stuff is always produced in country? Brian believes the secrets in the water, so he gets the cans from the US. Brian is British, which makes this little story even better.) Also, be prepared to eat a lot of rotisserie chicken.

Basic but you get what you pay for. The pool was great, drinks great, food great and the staff were friendly. Big room with a lovely balcony! A little noisy at night but that cant be helped!

This hotel is very nice. Beautiful lobby area. Staff professional and friendly. Swimming pool too small and I didn’t get a chance to try it because it was too crowded. Also They give very limited time for breakfast. It is from 8am till 9:30am and all guests come together to get their breakfast and it’s too many people. For such a big hotel ( I think it’s around 200 rooms families ) it should be at least 3 hours breakfast time. Otherwise all was good. Wi-Fi worked very good.

Awful hotel

Horrible, this hotel should be 1 star, they use some pictures on advertising but doddy pictures you can make same mistake, I did , AC doesn't work properly haven't remote control your room hot like hell or cold like Antarctica. Queue for everything, breakfast, Lunch and dinner awful. The room every day was cleaned bad . I'm really disappointed again with Hotel.com

Très décevant, si vous aimez le calme ne reservé pas dans cet hotel. Le ménage n est pas fait tous les jours dans les chambres, alors que c est noté que le ménage est quotidien. Aucune isolation sonore au niveau des murs.

Expérience horrible. Je vous déconseille vivement cet hôtel. Punaises de lit dans l’un des lits, personnel extrêmement désagréable et peu arrangeant (refus d’avoir un oreiller supplémentaire pour un minimum de confort), BRUIT toute la nuit dans les couloirs, piscine trouble et faïence pleine de mousse, jacuzzi inutilisable car plein de vase avec eau jaunie, chambres sales et vétustes… Nous avions réservé deux nuits pour la fin de nos vacances, nous les regrettons amèrement. Un tel établissement est une honte.

Bueno,hace nada que fui con mi pareja y la primera habitación bastante mal,gracias a este hotel voy a pensar en que jamás pille cama de matrimonio xk te meten en un hueco enano que la habitación es de una persona y ya esta, habitación 333 demasiado pequeña para dos y me imagino que habrán más como esas,la primera noche tuvimos problemas con el aire acondicionado de la habitación de la lado que sonaba un ruido como si taladran y al día siguiente nos cambiaron de habitación que fue mucho mejor porque era más grande todo en general,también en las fechas que estamos había mucha gente de vacaciones,pero el tema de la comida muy bien xk había mucha.

Para acceder al hotel hay unas escaleras, no está adaptado. No hay secador en la habitación. Falta actualizar, en nuestra habitación había una balda del armario con un agujero y la puerta del lavabo abollada. El agua de la ducha iba variando de caliente a helada y sin mucha presión. Sobre la comida era repetitiva (y eso que solo estuvimos 3 días y era muy similar). La piscina llena de moho... Deberían hacer mejoras.

Ci siamo trovati bene , però abbiamo avuto dei vetri rotti sul balcone per tutta la settimana, che non sono stati tolti nonostante lo avessimo fatto presente . Avendo 2 bambini, non è stato molto positivo. Per il resto tutto ok, buona posizione, cibo vario. Parcheggio troppo piccolo...abbiamo dovuto mettere l auto nelle vicinanze
