Staff was great! The room was clean. Staff replaced our broken tv immediately. I had hoped there would have been lounge chairs and umbrellas at the beach, the picture showed lounge chairs and umbrellas at the beach and was a main reason for me booking.

This is my second year in a row staying at Bungalows Punta Uva and I love it! All of the staff are so warm, friendly, kind and accommodating! The location is perfect and the grounds are absolutely beautiful!

Walking distance from one of the most beautiful beaches in the area. Great breakfast and nice swimming pool. You can see macaws, sloths, frogs and howler monkeys in the area. Make sure to visit Refugio Nacional de Vida Silvestre Gandoca-Manzanillo as it is located just 10 minutes drive from the hotel.

The pool was large and wonderful with many deaths for adults as well as kids. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Service was top notch, especially Diego on the front desk. The property is about 5 years old but looks brand new. Landscaping us mature and beautiful. My only recommendations would be to offer a larger selection with the "breakfast included" and put lamps on bedside tables and the desk. We stayed in a Jr Suite. We plan to stay there again.

Amazing Stay at Punta Uva! The bungalows were perfect—great amenities, a beautiful pool, and a super clean jacuzzi. The beach access was unbeatable, just steps away and absolutely gorgeous. The staff was fantastic across the board—from reception, housekeeping Alonso and his coworkers to the managers and restaurant team, Allan was outstanding everyone was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend 100%!

Excellent property, it is fantastic… very clean… the room is big and very nice. I like walk inside the property during the night because it has fantastic views, also during the day. Nice swimming pools with two jacuzzi. The breakfast that I had included is fantastic. And the most is all the hotel team is fantastic, friendly and cordial. I will be in the same place when I return to the area

I had an outstanding stay at The Bungalows Hotel! everything was amazing. The amenities are top-notch, and the staff from the manager to the receptionist to housekeeping—were all incredibly kind, supportive, and welcoming. The entire property was spotless and well-maintained, and the food was absolutely delicious. The hotel is very safe and secure, with convenient access to the beach. One of the highlights was definitely the jacuzzi pool, especially at night with the neon lights it was the perfect spot to relax and unwind. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return. A truly excellent experience all around!

Access to the beach was dirty and unattractive, as it shares access with a public road which creates a muddy and dirty environment. The property itself is very nice, but It’s fairly remote, with a required drive into the areas with restaurants - fine if you want to be isolated, but a bit inconvenient if you want to see areas other than the hotel property. Staff was friendly, rooms are huge, bathrooms/showers are nicely designed. Property is secure. But I wouldn’t choose to stay here again due to its less-than-pristine beach access which was muddy due to public car parking between the hotel and the beach, and trashed with debris.

This place is a gem! Safe , clean and so well kept. You see the staff everywhere taking care of the facilities. The room was so clean, bed was perfect, kitchenette was very useful but it didn’t have utensils of any kind, little microwave and fridge. Oh and the room is quite spacious! Hotel has one of the few ( that I saw) guarded entrances. The staff was sweet and helpful. Great place to stay! We would definitely be back

Perfect location on one of the best beaches in the area Punta Uva, 3 min walk from your room to paradise, clean comfortable modern rooms, multiple room options, good internet, includes breakfast. Staff was very friendly and cordial. 10 mins away from good dining options (La Nena & Rincon Porteño) as well as supermarkets. Also close to Manzanillo and Cocles beaches. Note that Kölbi cellular reception is terrible in this area.

A great hotel just south of Puerto Viejo. Very good pool (with 2 large hot tubs). Direct accesss onto beautiful Caribbean beach. The restaurant was good although seemed quite quiet and therefore lacking some atmosphere- The only problem was that I had booked a ‘family bungalow’ by the pool thinking this would be great for a family of 4 with 2 teenage children, but these bungalows have 2 bedrooms with a single queen bed in each, and no flexibility to put in two single beds. I did ask why they don’t have single beds that could be pushed together if a double is required (which would surely give better flexibility for room combinations) but was told they have no singles and nothing that could be done. No idea what they do if you have 3 kids??? Only a minor problem and even the intense tropical rain didn’t stop an enjoyable few days.

Very lovely resort

The hotel is very modern and clean. My suite was very large and the surroundings are lovely. Staff is very friendly and the guard pointed me some animals hidden in the garden. Like a sloth having a nap in bar stool. Pool is nice but not for swimming. It's not deep enough. Lots of it is kids pool or ankle deep sitting water. Big pool all in all but for sitting, not swimming. Bring earplugs to sleep with because of the howler monkeys. They truly are loud and start at 5am. You hear them more at pool bungalows and can sometimes spot them far away. You can also see sloths at the River, I had better luck at evening spotting them drinking and climbing. There is a small store accross the street but for most things you need a car or a bike ride. The beach is few min walk away and is nice and rustic. Lot's of driftwood which is cool. The Instagram worthy palm tree beach is 10-15 min walk away on the other side of the hill with the sea cave. Definately worth checking out.

Beautiful oasis in Punta Uva, the grounds, staff and accommodations were five stars. Gave four stars as the in- house menu could do with improvement, a few small adjustments especially on the vegetarian options would be very welcome. I've never had carrots on pizza before! Lovely stay overall, would recommend.
