Spent a couple of nights at the Fox. Breakfasts were tasty and very nicely presented. Enjoyed our dinner there too. Staff are all very friendly and attentive. Rooms are comfortable and clean.

Amazing place

The Fox Inn is situated right next to the river Windrush totally beautiful views We stay in The Windrush room which was beautiful it had a contemporary bathroom with excellent quality toiletries the bedrom its self had original shutters beautiful decorated snd comfortable bed chairs etc We would not hesitate in staying again

Perfect location, so quiet, no traffic noise at night! Rooms tastefully decorated, comfortable bed. Evening meal and breakfast well cooked, generous portions. We’ll conditioned draught beer. We will be returning.

Cosy place to stay

Had a lovely welcome and all the guys and girls were really friendly. My room was to the room above the front of house (Sherborne) and it was a real cosy stay. The shower was a little of a tight squeeze but the fittings and cleanliness of everything was very good. Breakfast had a good cooked menu and had had a decent oat milk flat white. Would definitely stay again.

Don't Hesitate... Book!

A lovely Inn on the river. Modern, clean and comfortable room. Nice food in the bar and a good full English served in the morning with fresh juice and coffee. Very friendly staff who made us feel welcome. A shame we were only passing through for the night. We would highly recommend for an extended break.

Don’t bother on a Sunday evening!

We arrived at 8.45pm on Sunday due to birthday arrangements at Bleinham Palace. The pub called to confirm we were still attending for the night which was nice. On check-in we were informed the bar was closed, it wasn’t even 9pm?? Website states open till 11pm. This resulted in us staying in the room with a pint and a bottle, not exactly the chilled evening drinks we were hoping! The room albeit small was ok, bathroom was modern but there was a smell of musty drains which was carrying into the room so that was nice for the night! Plus the loo only just flushed, it was like the chain/handle wasn’t connected properly. Also the EXIT sign above the door lights up the room like Blackpool Xmas lights so sleep for my partner was on and off for the duration. Breakfast in the morning was good, hot food available. Only suggestion would be more hot options available for a veggie as the misses had to settle with toast as she does not eat eggs.

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay. It is a lovely location. The food was good and the staff excellent. Our room was very nice but there were a couple of downsides... 1) We were unlucky to have a room over the main bar so it was quite noisey when we turned in for the night. 2) The TV looked like it only streamed content. Maybe not an issue if the Wifi strength was much stronger. I'm sure this will get addressed in due course.

We LOVED our stay at The Fox Inn! Tom; one of the owners, was very hospitable and welcoming! The place had gone through major renovations and they had just only been open for a couple of months so it was all fresh and updated. And the food was sooo good! Gourmet dinner and breakfast menu (breakfast was included in our stay). We loved the whole experience!

Overnight stay in the heart of the Cotswolds

Beautiful position next to a river minutes away from the busy village of Burford. We spent the afternoon enjoying the sun and a few drinks next to the river then ate in the restaurant. The best steaks I’ve had in ages. Tasty freshly cooked breakfast. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Family overnight stay

Lovely overnight stay at The Fox Inn in August. Breakfast was amazing and the staff were very attentive ensuring we had everything we wanted. The location of the hotel is great and we were able to visit different areas of the Cotswolds.

What road are we on!

Lovely pub but had booked a lovely river view for my partner & king size bed. What we got was a main road view, no river view plus the king size bed was two singles pushed together.

Beautiful surroundings, the hotel is right on the river and is super pretty. We thought the food here was delicious- dinner and breakfast. It could have been a bit cleaner though, mainly dust, cobwebs and flies but it is an old property. Our family room was nice and completely fine for one night - the bed and sofa bed were comfy but there were very steep stairs down to the door that we had to pull a chest of drawers in front of for our 18mth old. The bathroom was a good size and nice and clean but there was no hot water in the morning or i couldn't work the shower properly.
