My friend and I booked the Lady Jane for a 3 night stay in Bruges - and even before arriving had had extremely helpful and friendly correspondence with the owner, Hugo. On arrival, we discovered our 'room' was actually practically the whole floor - consisting of bedroom, living/dining room, bathroom and library, all of vast size. All were clean and thoughtfully decorated, and it felt an incredibly homely place to base ourselves for our stay. Hugo could not have been more helpful and welcoming - providing a guide for things to do and places to eat, a fantastic breakfast to enjoy lazily each morning, and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We would wholeheartedly recommend this as a place to stay in Bruges, and only wish we had booked to stay longer.

It was an amazing place to spend a night in Bruges. I and my friend stayed in the Africa themed room and we both love it. I will recommend this place to whoever comes to Bruges. The owner of the place thought everything for you so you don't need to worry about anything. It was one of my best stays ever. I am glad I have found this place.

Lovely old house, unique in character. Large rooms, lots of space. Excellent location close to city centre. Generous breakfast, a free bottle of welcome - wine. Nice touch.
booking related e-mails were not answered for a couple of days. Communications overall was really poor. The bedroom smelled strongly of paint (I guess the heating element had been recently painted.) There were no books or movies at all, which is lame in a city with no night life.

Great experience
A very different experience. Very old building but very comfortable. Stayed in Japan room which comprised the whole first floor. Property would not be good for someone with mobility issues.
netjes, goede service, B & B in centrum - parkeren
The hotel has 3 rooms and the bathrooms are outside of the bedroom, but everything is very clean. The hotel is located right in the center. It was exactly what we wanted.
We arrived at this lovely old place after a long trip but were immediatley cheered by the welcome we received. The B&B is a bit fof a secret sitting on a mostly quiet residential street. It does not hang its name outside so look in the window for the stickers of well known holiday booking sites. We had the Japanese room. It was authentic but not to my husbands taste but he was soon charmed by the rest of the facilities. Thankyou Hugo for the guides, map the information and congeniality. Bruges itself is a great place to visit, mostly flat and has a large number of museums, places to visit and things to do. Don't forget to turn left out of the B&B away from town at least once. There are nearby eating places and the last remaining windmills. Many places were closed on Monday, so be warned. If you feel fit it is worth paying to go up the bell tower. The breakfast is great by the way, we made lunch out of what we couldn't eat. There is a little shop a few doors down if you need anything.
Brilliant location with short walk to the centre beside canals etc. Very good breakfast provided by our friendly host. Excellent facilities. The sitting room was a real bonus and the wifi worked well.

Nice and cheerful
Lovely 17th century place, which is still getting done, but quirky and cosy with character. Loved the location - close to the town centre and station. Definitely will stay there next time!
