Few of the things that I love capturing are stunning reflections, colors, landscapes and skylines. I returned to this park almost after three years and wasn't disappointed at all. Rocky gap State Park is located in Western Maryland, 2 hours drive from Baltimore. The fall colors have not peaked in this part of Maryland yet, but likely they will in the next one week. Quaint family owned hotel

This was a quaint hotel with some nostalgic charm. The room was clean and has been updated somewhat. We love the tiled bathroom walls and the charm of the original hotel, family owned for 60+ years. Very friendly feel to the whole place.

Absolutely terrible

This place was CLOSED DOWN when we got there and we received no notification that it was no longer in business. So it was NOT FUN trying to find a place to stay at 11pm at night

Not great.

Very dated hotel. Room smelled weird. All windows were open when we arrived in the summer. Had to wait about 10 minutes for someone to show up to check us in. Pool looks nice from far away but looks pretty gross when you get up close. Not much to do in the area.

Other was indifferent, not overly friendly.

Very old building and the room smelled like it. Not dirty, just old. Maybe it was the old carpet but a definite odor whenever you walked in the room. Bathroom fixtures are original to the 50's /60's.

An Hidden Gem

What a revelation. Here's a classic 1950's style motel that is in pristine condition. The attention to detail in cleanliness, and all the little things (like real glass glasses and a real toilet seat. I know those sound trivial, but it's nice to sit down and not feel everything shift under you, lol!) Wonderful people dedicated to a dying concept, top quality service at a reasonable price. We were also impressed by how little of the hubbub of Breezewood can be heard from the motel. Beautiful views of the hills and a stunning sunset. I've been in a lot of motels. This is at the very top of the list.

Zero empathy customer service! I accidentally booked this property in a completely wrong location from where we were going. My fault, of course, but with a newborn I haven’t been sleeping much, some wires crossed… these things happen. I realized the mistake almost immediately. Called 10 min later. The clerk said that if only I booked directly not through expedia … but then when expedia rep called a few min later asking for a waiver, the hotel refused.

Loved the swim pool 😀😀 !

Had pool with a 10 foot deep end. You don't see those very often anymore. Loved it. Proprietor said it was the oldest in Breezewood (1961). Still in great shape.

The check in was quick and cordial however we would not stay again as there is too much traffic with many trucks travelling in and out making all kinds of noise throughout the night. Difficult to have a good nights sleep. Do not recommend this area at all, it’s truck city. Also hair blower was not working. King size bed however was comfortable.

Top Notch Service/Hospitality

This is our regular overnight stop when going to OBX from Michigan. Rooms are always clean and spacious. The hospitality is top notch! Easy on and off the highway.

We had a very pleasant stay here at the Quality Inn Breezewood. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. Breakfast sandwiches were available in the morning along with yogurt and juice. We would (and likely will) stay here again without hesitation.
