Excellent breakfast, ornate interior and rooms, fantastic location in Candelaria in short walking distance to all the major attractions and museums in the area. Very friendly staff. There is a restaurant at the hotel, but if there are no reservations, it’s closed. There are many in the walking distance.

Perfect location for proximity to cultural and arts centers. Great restaurants are abundant and within walking distance. The staff was very friendly and the room was spacious with a luxurious atmosphere.

This hotel is 180 years old and only has five rooms. It was a private residence until 15 years ago they converted to a hotel it’s like living in a 200-year-old mansion in Europe. The way would be over €1000. I paid 169 a night 25 foot ceilings antiques and incredibly helpful staff …

This hotel is all about Richard. They should pay him double whatever they are paying him. Richard greeted me on arrival, welcomed me, fixed my safe, made and served breakfast, let me in and out the door, gave me an umbrella, helped me with Ubers, tours, and directions, and walked me to my Uber when I left. The property is aesthetically remarkable with sprawling, luxurious rooms, an amazing included made-to-order breakfast, free wifi, an in room safe and a fabulous location walking distance to all tours and all things historic! The ONLY reason I have this a four rating, which would’ve been a 2 or 3 without Richard, is that there was limited hot water, construction carrying on outside the room, rusted out stairs, unnecessarily oversized room keys, NO temperature control available, you could hear the rain dripping on the inside of the ceiling from the roof, the fire alarm needed batteries and beeped for three days, and you have to be buzzed in and literally let out the door. This is remarkably inconvenient, particularly when it’s pouring down rain and there’s no overhang. Also, Uber will drop you off here but not pick you up here. Have Richard assist you. He was TRULY remarkable.

Lovely place to stay in Candelaria

We stayed in a lovely quiet room (La Traviata) which was beautifully decorated. The bed was huge and firm and they gave us complementary bottles of water. The bathrobes were a nice touch as it is quite chilly in Bogota. The shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. Richard was extremely helpful from checkin onwards and made us fantastic coffee, freshly squeezed juice, french toast and fruit plates for breakfast. The breakfast was made to order with a wide range of options to choose from, including a variety of fresh juices, fruit plates, pancakes and cooked breakfasts if you wanted them. Francisco was also really helpful and friendly. He booked us a taxi for the airport which made things really easy. The hotel is beautiful and a very short walk from the Museo Botero and the cathedral among other sites. It is very secure and we felt very safe wandering around the Candelaria area. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel and attention. The bad: complicated shower, and loses hot water soon. So, in a 2-person run of the shower, the 2nd person gets only cold water!

Great location, Elegant style

When I stayed here, I felt like back to the middle century. The room was very elegant and staffs are very kind. Breakfast was great! One thing, There's no heating system. So, it could be cold during the night in December. However, hotel is located very close with Botero Museum and Bolivar square, so it's great to walk around La Candelaria area.

Exceptional accommodations, location and staff!

The hotel is a converted historic house located in the heart of the historic district with large rooms that are beautifully decorated. What also really stood out was the staff who were incredibly courteous and always made you feel at home. Special requests were always accommodated and handled cheerfully and efficiently.
