Spotless rooms, free upgrade and let us in super early 7am!! Perfect place for layover to get rid of jet lag. Friendly staff and was serene and peaceful despite it being over 90%full. Didn't see or hear many people at all--incredible!

The bed is very comfortable and there’s plenty of hot water. Great location for a short stay in Auckland
For the price, this is about what I'd expect. Far from the best hotel I've stayed in, but it also wasn't the worst. It was generally clean and fine for the price, but the building is dated and some big updates are needed. I saw what I think might have been mould in one corner of the room (unsurprising given how humid it is) but I can't say for certain. The space is small and the bathrooms are one of those where the toilet and the shower are in the same space. Bedsheets and towels were clean. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. I gave the amenities a 2 star just because there aren't really any amenities besides a hair dryer. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner.

Great location in CBD, clean, comfortable, affordable
The person who checked me in was very kind,and automatically made me feel at ease.
Also,I had my breakfast included and the place they arranged for having breakfast was clean and food was good and an espresso.
Room was clean, location excellent, had emailed to ask to be on same floor, which they confirmed, however we were all on different floors

The room facing the holiday inn side is constantly noisy at night, not until after midnight.
It would be good to have some hangers/small table. Also why there are only very unclear tv channels?

Great location, close to pretty much all you want like Queen's street, Federal st. etc. Good place for short stay.
You get what you pay for. For a simple overnight stay with no frills, clean and pleasant, it's all good. Shower/bathroom could be a bit better, but it's there and has what you need.
