The room was freezing and it felt like the heat never kicked in. The shower and sink water was luke warm and all 4 towels I picked up had brown stains all over them. After complaining to the front desk about the water they moved us to another room. I let the shower water run for 20 mins and it still never got hot. I missed my dinner reservations due to room changes and not being able to shower. In the end I informed the manager I was not happy and ended up getting a refund and staying at the Tropicana, which was way nicer and we got a better deal on a suite. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The rooms were nice and the staff was accommodating but dirty towels and no hot water was enough to make me cancel my entire reservation.
I had the time of my life! Everything was great and very convenient! We will be back again!

Tired Property - Needs renovation.
Sadly, this is no four star Hotel. The ratings on Expedia indicated that it was. The Hotel is very old and in dire need of renovation. The outdated lobby has a small and crowded check-in area. Loud annoying music is constantly playing in the lobby. The outside is littered with cigarette butts and is poorly lit. The signs and canopy are long overdue for upkeep. The rooms need paint and the furniture is very worn out.
Overall, this worn out Hotel was not worth the money we spent. In addition to the rate you pay, there are several Atlantic City and New Jersey taxes you must pay.
My advice is to stay at another Hotel on a weekday. There are much better Hotels at lower rates.
It was a very good experience, went to Atlantic City for our 10th wedding anniversary, our reservation went through with no problems, Michael (concierge) went the extra mile and added a champagne to the room (really nice touch), staff friendly and nice facility, parking was off site but no problem just a block away, overall a great experience.

What a waste
Pulled up to the Chelsea, the only street with access to the hotel was blocked by a huge crane. After making a u turn, I was forced to valet the car because there was no on street parking. Once inside the hotel, check in was slow and the young lady who helped me didn't seem to want to be there. Went up to the room and found it was directly across from the elevators-extremely noisey ones- the room was eh. The view I had expected was blocked, so much for ocean view. Went down to the 5th floor lounge, food was ok, except for the cockroach walking on the bar where we ate. The gym was garbage. I so overpaid and wasn't ready or knew about the $125 incidental fee! What a rip! Never again, this place stunk. Orbitz your description was definitely off.
Great place to stay for a weekend away! Ocean view out of our room, right on the boardwalk, beautiful comfortable room. Lovely amenities and restaurants right in the hotel. Would definitely recommend!

The location was great walk to all beach casino shopping the hotel was update nice in some areas the staff was friendly but are room smelled and was told would have housekeeping fresh it uo but never came. Wad a hope skip and a jump from tropicana which had everything inside u needed. Next time we will spend a little more money to stay there instead.

Nice stay for one night, but needs to be cleaned!!
Overall, the experience wasn't the worst I've had, but definitely not the best. Went for one night to see a concert at the Tropicana. The room definitely needed a thorough cleaning. Stains on the walls and comforter, contemplated sleeping on the chair in the room. For some reason, I was double charged for parking, but thankfully the staff quickly sorted that out. I would consider staying here again as long as the rooms get thoroughly cleaned. In need of some minor updates, but overall fairly modern. The bayview room gave great views of the west side of the city. The biggest downfall is that in order to use the gym, you have to pay and the food options on site are ridiculously expensive. You'll be better off going next door to the Tropicana and going to the buffet. Again, it definitely needs updates and undoubtedly needs to be cleaned extremely thoroughly. Staff was friendly, yet very uninterested and this is the FIRST hotel where I've EVER had to SIGN A CONTRACT at check in!! I would recommend this hotel if it's just for one night, anything more you'll be much better off staying at one of the casinos for a few extra bucks.
Loved the location and experience with the exception of the poor water pressure in the shower. Literally washed my hair in the sink.

Checked in, the room was cold. Turned up the heat and left for the evening. Came back around 1:00 a.m. and room was freezing. Took until 3:45 by the time they changed heater twice and thermostat once to get heat. Room was left dirty where pulling out heater had drywall all over work area right by our bed. Should have vacuumed before leaving. In the morning, the manager did state that he would take care of us. Still waiting on that promise.
This was the first time that I stayed at the chelsea and the bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Considering it was our honeymoon we appreciated the beautiful hotel and room
My stay was good nice place was a 125$ security deposit so make sure you have that. Valet parking was very fast the intended actually came to my room when he got off to talk to me because earlier I asked him where are some good places to eat and a good club to go to. I did have one problem when picking the hotel I picked pay at hotel. A day before my check in date I was charged my night stay after I picked pay at hotel making my bank account overdraft also making a bill late. So now I have a over draft fee and a late bill fee. Called hotels.com talked to a manager and he gave me his email and told me to send a copy of my bank statement an he will check it out and get right back to me and never did. I sent him the bank statement when we where on the phone and some how we got disconnected but if your at work and your computer is right there y where you not able to see it and you had all my information why could you not call me back if we where disconnected but I did plenty of business with hotels.com and never had a problem like this until now.
Had to wait 20-30 minutes to check in. When I got upstairs it was smokey on a non-smoking floor and also looked dirty. When I arrived into the room it was also dirty trash was still in the trash can. Toilet paper in the toilet also towel laying on the sink used. Dirt and debris on the floor. Had to call customer service and they only cleaned the debris on the floor. They didn't even apologize or comp me anything for the inconvenience. I would never stay there again.
It was a great weekend. My companion and i went to your hotel just to relax and get away for the weekend.due to working all the time. This was our first getaway together. The room was great.slept like a baby and we look forward to coming back
