This place is being renovated and has a very small staff.
Tried to charge me extra service fees. Wasn’t going to allow me to check in until 1:30pm although I booked my room for two nights including the night prior because my bus got in at 5:00am
Check in took over 90mins and then I finally got a room which I didn’t book twin bed bs queen bed and it smelled like urine.
Room was loud, heard everything going on in other room including the cleaning people and their music.
Avoid this place at all cost.
Seems to be run/managed by some younger guys and almost like a frat house.
After a quick nap and afternoon activity I returned to leave and go to another hotel down the road.
Horrible, if you make a reservation through Expedia make sure they don't give you room 306, the room was dirty and smelly, nothing like what appears in the photos on the website when making the reservation. The staff was incompetent at the time of check in, they made me wait about 45 minutes to give the room, consulting his boss on the phone and they gave me another room and not the one I saw when at the moment of booking; I made a reservation for a room with 1 large bed and they gave me with two, that is less important, what I did not like is that it was dirty and smelly. I complained at the reception, but the staff could not do anything, indicating that they were full and could not change me to another one, that he was only worker and so follow orders of the administration. The next day, to finish, there was no hot water, I had to shower with cold water.
I feel scammed. If I didn't leave and change hotels it was because I arrived tired and had to accept the night, in the end the room was paid for at the time of booking.
I hope the Expedia can do something, to avoid this can scam.
Although experian confirmed my booking, when I arrived the receptionist said they could not take me because i hadnt prepaid, as the town was very full with Perumin visitors, I insisted and reluctantly agreed to pay more than $500 USD per night!!! it is the most expensive and the worst hotel I have ever stayed at... scubbed walls, hard pillow, broken tiles, old scraped furniture, shower unpredictable going form cold to hot in seconds. It is an abuse to the visitors of Arequipa, shame they give Peru a bad name
