Fine locally run hotel that caters to outdoorsman and truckers. Had a battery charging station very helpful to me to keep my battery charged on my boat while I was in Alpena for a fishing trip. Not glamorous but very nice, good breakfast and very friendly and professional staff. I could not have been happier, except the fishing stunk but not their fault. Good hotel highly recommended

Very Clean but amenities were hard to get

Room was very clean, and spacious for a motel room. Breakfast was good. Only problem we had was getting towels. Two were left in the room but we needed three. Maid wanted us to give her used towel before she would give us another. Shampoo sample was not enough either.

Overall a good stay. Clean room and comfortable beds. Nice mini refrigerator and microwave. Could improve the uneven bathtub floor and the gap at the bottom of the door in room #132.

They were in the process of repainting their rooms, so having to go around the furnishings in the hallway was not a big deal. Was an acceptable fact just knowing they were freshen up their rooms.

Nice place, SMALL tubs.

Loved Cindy and Chad. Cindy was so welcoming checking me in and Chad found an expensive item I’d left in my room for me. Both very friendly. The hotel is going through some renovations in the lobby and it seems like it’s stalled and no one is working on it. It didn’t change the whole almost week I stayed. Really weird to have cabinets ripped out and exposed walls with just the original drywall showing. Especially for that long with no signs of finishing any time soon. The room was actually really nice with a large mini fridge and microwave in it. Nice wardrobe and table and chairs. But the bathroom definitely did NOT have deep soaking tubs like the descriptions said on the booking sight. Very false advertising. I’d gone out of my way to stop at Lush and get bath bombs and bubble bars before coming here. Thinking I’d have nice long soaks in the tub. But this tub was a standard small hotel tub with the overlay plastic tub with attached walls that cover original plumbing tubs. I could lay my head against the bottom and still have my nose stick out. So less than a foot deep. Not even as deep as my small tub at home. Pool and hot tub were great! Breakfast was hit or miss. Fresh fruit and waffles. But that was about it. I’m not a oatmeal person so I didn’t care if they were steel cut oats. They did have biscuits and gravy. Not much else besides cereal, yogurt, bagels and bread for toast. Can’t remember if they had cream cheese for the bagels. Nice place overall.

Being remodeled

Older motel, in the midst of a remodel when we stayed there. I'm sure it will be very nice when completed. Breakfast was good. Room was a bit cramped, but very comfortable. Overall, I was happy with our stay. Staff were super-friendly.
