Welcoming staff, but needs more care and attention

The staff at SolMile are brilliant: I got to know two of the receptionists very well, thanks to their excellent English and their welcoming manner. The apartment is amazing for its spaciousness and has a great bathroom. But there is a feeling of neglect over the place: there was at least one unfinished electricity socket with the wires protruding from the wall at child height. The kitchen is very basic and I started to dread cooking at night because of the insects that appeared. (I also saw them in the hallway, the main bedroom and the bathroom.) As this was my first visit to Africa I didn’t know whether this was normal and did not mention it to the manager. When I arrived back in the UK I described the insects to an Asian friend who told me they were cockroaches and how the apartment needed to be fumigated. I would suggest that in order to check all the apartments are in good order, the overnight staff should sleep in vacant apartments and report back on any issues. One other point to mention is that it is under the flight path to Bole airport and most of the flights seem to be at night. There are also a lot of barking dogs. Neither disturbed me once I was asleep, but the noise may be a problem for light sleepers.

e children loved it

Nice and very very spacious. The children loved it. The service was exellent and the airport shuttle was very good. Our minus was given because of the equipment on the kitchen, it is not suited for own cooking.

The property was so nice but the location was not so good provided the cleanliness of the guest house. Staff were so friendly and communcating so perfect. I had a tiny shuttle peoblem on my arrival which i have got a compensation for that which made me so pleased. But overall it is fine and I do recommend other travellers to get accommodation over there.

Awesome guest house

The staff was very attentive for our needs. Specially the front desk girls. Samrawit, Tiru, Almaz....provided amazing customer service. They did all they can to make our stay comfortable. The guest house passed our expectation in all aspect. The shuttle driver arrived on time to pick us up. Awesome place to stay. Very convenient. We definitely will go back there. Thank you so much for everything!!!
