This hotel was gorgeous and grand. We loved our huge room which had two bathrooms, a living room, several closets, and a huge king sized bed. It was very spacious and we had a very nice view of the courtyard and pool. The scenery was beautiful with lush plants and flowers. There was lots of variety for breakfast and the staff were quick to accommodate to whatever you needed. There were several ATM machines available and transportation was easily accessible. You never needed to leave the hotel. But there was so much to see you do in Addis Ababa...we had to leave the room.

My wife and I stayed at Haile Grand for about 15 days after our wedding, and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. Our booking included breakfast, and we truly appreciated how thoughtful the dining options were—especially for vegan and vegetarian guests. Even when certain items weren’t listed on the menu, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our preferences and ensure we were satisfied. The cleanliness and sanitation across the entire resort were outstanding. Our room was spotless, cleaned daily without fail, and always stocked with Haile protein bars for two and bottled water. We were very pleased with both our room and the beautiful view it offered. Every staff member we interacted with was respectful, disciplined, and genuinely eager to help. The hotel also provides a convenient shuttle service to the airport at guests’ preferred times, which made our departure smooth and stress-free. Overall, our stay at Haile Grand was exceptional. Loved this place! Staff are so friendly and professional. Room was gorgeous. Grounds are lovely. Pool area and wellness Center were clean and well organised. The only disappointment was my dinner. I sat in the bar area and my food came and it was cold and I didn’t like it. I am not a picky eater and have eaten lots of great Ethiopian food. The sandwich had a sauce on it that tasted terrible. They wanted to replace it but I was not longer hungry. They offered me a plate of fruit which was very nice. BUT, when the bill came, they had charged me for the meal! I tried to discuss it with the server and he refused to even take 1/2 the amount. Don’t let this discourage you from enjoying this place. I just had a bit of bad luck!
