"This property is a 9 minute ride from the airport - good for a one night stay before an early flight the next day. There is an airport shuttle bus to take you to the airport. Be sure to make a reservation beforehand. It is not a hop on bus. There were some tourists that missed a bus ride because they hadn't preregistered and the bus driver leaves on time.

"Staff helpful. Room on small side, but clean. Bathroom could benefit from better layout and storage options, shower is small, but did function well for our needs. Breakfast buffet had a good selection of food and beverage options. Overall we would stay again when in Reykjavik."

"Our stay was comfortable. Only two points I would make is that the rooms are quite warm in the summer as there is no air circulation and only one small window. It made it difficult to sleep at night. And if you order breakfast as part of your room rate, note that it is a bag of baked goods from a local bakery. "Hotel Loa was a pleasant surprise during our trip to Iceland. We picked it because it was convenient to Westman Islands and Thorsmork. However it was a class hotel. Modern rooms and gathering areas, helpful staff, very comfortable rooms. Dinner menu had wide range of choices and breakfast buffet had everything. You won't go wrong if you choose Hotel Loa."
