"OK for an overnight before a morning flight. Dinner was a cheap and nasty takeaway from somewhere local which was massively overpriced - avoid! "

"A very spacious clean rooms. Friendly hard working staff. Lots of TV channels, good amenities. New year's day buffet was very good with local items. They should have breakfast buffets everyday. New Year's Eve dinner time the music was very loud, that should have outdoor show, not indoor, we skipped the bar as no one could make any kind of conversation there with ear piercing music!"

"Importantly the floor - beautiful white floor tiles 2ftX2ft were everywhere and gave a very impressive upscale appearance. The furniture was moderate, and the staff were friendly and courteous. They could improve the TV by adding two more Sri Lankan channels, there were too many channels with foreign languages no local guests understands. "The house was wonderful to stay in and visit. The only comment and this is a more philosophical one - what is the balance between originality and being fresh for a guest to inhabit? I think this needs careful thinking through. The house is wonderfu and its a great place to stay if you love Bawa architecture, but some areas could do with cleaning more thoroughly or replacing.
