Clean but nothing fancy

Easy check in, room clean but everything is quite old and dated, nothing served for breakfast was appealing so went to a local restaurant.

Just an okay time

When I got there, there were some issues with the room we had reserved and the key not working. The workers mentioned that they had been having some trouble with it in the past. They had me hang out in there until they cleaned another room for us to be moved to. The cleaning didn’t take very long, but we didn’t notice anything terrible. The whole hotel is a pretty run down. We had a hard time finding outlets in our room that worked to plug our phones into. For the price it is an okay stay. It seemed more rundown than it was he last time we stayed there. Also good thing the Walgreens next door is 24 hours. We had to run over there to get shampoo and soap to use.

Perfect for my needs.

We stay here about 4 to 5 times a year. Unfortunately the hot tub wasn't working today. We also found the last person that stayed here's left over pizza in the fridge. Even with that, we will still be back. Always quiet, and the bathroom has always been clean. Reasonable rates.

Pool area dirty, hot tub shut down said it was cracked, no fire spnkler system, hallway and room stunk, security door locks didn't work well. Would never go back!

Pleasant Stay

Staff was very friendly. We are sad that Raj is no longer there. Only 3 things that need attention ,power outlets need to be changed , lights above the bed ( I kept forgetting that they were there and hit my head on them three times) and the pillows. Overall our stay was pretty good, we have stayed here before, and will continue to return. We are looking forward to seeing you all again in June.

I've stayed here several times. Not a 5 star but the rooms have always been clean but are a bit dated, but that's reflected in the price. Hot breakfast available, as well as a pool and hot tub. This time the hot tub was down for repairs. Never been bothered by noise. I will be coming back.

Fantastic room, strange atmosphere.

The hotel "owner's/family" were all eating the continental breakfast at the same time as the patrons. There was no room for us to sit and we felt like we were intruding on their own kitchen. And a choice of waffle & toast isn't really a "breakfast."

Do Hotels Overbook?

We booked our trip through Expedia. We had a confirmation number. We attended a wedding and at 8:00 p.m. we were ready to go to the Fern Motel for a good night's sleep. When we arrived they had no room for us. Do hotels overbook? I showed the desk attendant my confirmation number and he was unable to explain what happened, nor could he get us a room in that town or any adjoining towns. We ended up driving an hour and a half to Osseo. We were so very tired and frightened by the deer jumping up onto the road. I'm not sure where the blame lies, on the motel or on Expedia, but it is unacceptable! So this survey forces one to rate several things (like room, etc.) that we never experienced, but need to rate in order to complete the survey.

Not the best value for your dollar

Let's just say I probably wont stay here again. Cudo's to the staff for being friendly and accommodating. The hot breakfast was average with unflavorful eggs but great waffles. The pool and hot tub need some serious updating. Our room was large and the bed was average for comfort but there was a distinct unpleasant odor. The chairs were once padded but are so old that the padding has collapsed making the chairs very uncomfortable. The 110 outlets are so old that anything plugged into them almost falls out. Tub/shower was OK except for the fixture handle was ready to fall off. I tightened it up with a phillips. Sink area was good. WiFi was good. TV needs to be mounted higher so it can be seen while lying in bed. King size bed was not too bad. Housekeeping staff was good. I feel I would rather spend an extra $10 and stay a bit further down the street next time.
