Really lovely stay at The Belsfield. Clean, smart, spacious and beautiful. It has been renovated recently and the decor has a classy and stylish manor feel, lovely lounges, view of the lake for breakfast, comfortable room, friendly staff, delicious breakfast made to order plus great muffins! Very relaxing a perfectly situated for getting boats. We will be back!
Only downside was a sneaky £15 parking a day if you book through a third party. No real reason given for this. Hotel was value for money though.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Hotel very good. Whilst being renovated everything was lovely and still as we remember.
Only thing was small choice at brekkie but still nice though and really quiet this weekend too
Great staff, great location. The hotel and the room was lovely. The only negative is some areas inside are a little tired and I do not think you should have to pay for parking in your staying at the hotel considering the car park is on it’s own grounds.
Was not cheep. The plates were cold on the breakfast for both days so the breakfast was going cold as we were eating. Waiter said the plate warmer has just gone off, said that both days. And the parking was £30.00 in the hotel. As we were stopping there that should be included as the hotel was not cheep. This was our golden wedding anniversary and these problems spoilt what was going to be special. The room was amazing as it was a family room so all not bad.

Clean & comfortable room with lake view.
Excellent staff on reception, Nick in the bar (great cocktails) & in the brasserie.
Enjoyed breakfast selection and 2 evening meals. Steaks were superb.
Gorgeous, grand hotel in a fantastic location.
Service great from all staff and hotel clean throughout.
Family rooms a great size and ideal for a family of 4.
Hotel is currently undergoing a period of renovation and you can see this is needed in places but this is to be expected for a grand and historic hotel.
Although the hotel was currently being renovated outside it did not effect our stay . We both enjoyed all aspects of our stay ie. Cleanliness, Of Room, selection of breakfast items , excellent service from staff. Fully enjoyed our stay .
