Family room

Was really disappointing the shower area was so tiny you couldn’t turn around if you did the shower curtain kept sticking to you and so much damp in this tiny area. You had to keep your arms in. The TV kept freezing and you could turn the Tv over with the remote control. The The breakfast was nice.

Hotel was ideally placed within good walking distance to all areas of Bowness. Hotel was clean and tidy. Staff very polite.

Very friendly & great for dogs, she loved the sausage for breakfast. Clean & Covid 19 measures appropriate. Downside a bit noisy from street so maybe request room at rear.

great location spotless and big rooms

Great room four poster bed and lake view. Great location close to all amenities. Only one little downside was choice at breakfast not great and although they did boiled eggs one morning for my wife the next morning they wouldn’t do them for me. However would come back and dog friendly which is a bonus for us. And dog got sausage at breakfast which is great.

駅からは徒歩で約20分。 周りの景色を楽しみながら、楽しく歩けました。 そしてHill top 行きの船着場までお散歩にちょうどいい距離で、その中間くらいにピーターラビットの美術館みたいなのがありました。 ホテルは新しくはないけど、大変居心地がよくて朝食も美味しくてスタッフの方々も大変親切でした。最高に贅沢な休日をありがとうございました。

Birthday Break

Here for my birthday with 3 friends. Had a brilliant time and great weather. The Lonsdale is close to all amenities, restaurant's, pubs, cinema. 4mins walk to Peter rabbit world, and 2mins from bus stop to take you around the lakes and bring you back. Back again in Oct can't wait thanks Andrew and all Lonsdale staff xx

Nice hotel close to the town centre and the lake

They allowed my husband and i to check in early as we were at a wedding, they advised us the room will not be ready but we could leave our bags which was awesome. Not sure all rooms are the same but it was a lovely view and could see part of lake windermere. Our room had a double 4 poster bed and a single bed. The only downside was the poster bed, it wasnt comfy and every time you moved it was squeaking. In the end i moved to single bed which was a little more comfy. The breakfast was yummy could of had a range of things too.

Great location right in Bowness on Windermere

Great spot, friendly helpful service. Close to pubs, restaurants and Co-Op for supermarket type bits and pieces. Parking tight but management deal with that very well.

Great value for money

Very comfortable room and very clean. Decor a little tired but that didn’t put us off. Staff couldn’t be more friendly and cannot do enough to make your stay memorable. Breakfast was fantastic and again staff very attentive. Bars and restaurants within a short walk.Overall very good value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely guest house

Our second time at Lonsdale house and not too much has changed except a little spruce up and a swanky new bed. Lovely comfortable guest house, good breakfast and very attentive staff. Would definitely recommend and will be back again.

Great hotel in good location

We stayed at the Lonsdale for our first wedding anniversary with our little dog 25/09/17 for 2 nights . What a lovely welcoming place it is , it is immaculately clean with its own parking at front and back . The staff can’t do enough for you , and the breakfast was fab . The only problem we had was the terrible uncomfortable creaking roll together bed in room 6 . I never slept a wink in 2 nights ! We were told by the staff they would have moved us from this room if we had asked , so I can’t complain after the fact really . I would just hope , after now reading other bad reviews about this bed , that they were aware of this problem and actually do something about it , as it did ruin what we would have liked to have been a relaxing stay . All in all I would definitely stay there again , just not in room 6 !
