Everything was just fantastic! The house is just what we needed for our stay in KY. It had lots of room, was extremely clean, and comfortable. The home has a very cozy feel to it. It is extremely well stocked,.... we didn't cook but we could have! Sherry is very accommodating, personable and so very kind! Thanks for making this a really great, memorable vacation Sherry! Thank you for sharing your special place with us. So grateful to have found you and your "happy place"!

The host was extremely helpful and friendly. She met us at the property and showed us around. She also shared some history about this 100+ acer farmland. Very interesting. To top it off, she brought us a loaf of homemade bread - Very good. Thank you for opening up your property to me and my girls.

This was an awesome experience on a farm! We stayed here to visit the ark and loved the family friendly environment! Sherry even made sure there were toys available! Recommend this location for anyone visiting the area

This is an amazing place. If your looking for a peaceful, quiet place, this is it. It is a beautiful property and only 15 minutes from the Ark. The home has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Sherry is a wonderful hostess. She actually took us in and showed us around the property after we arrived late. She really made us feel welcome. We would most definitely stay here again.

Our family had been waiting ten years to take this special trip to Kentucky to visit the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum. Staying at Sherry’s beautiful century-old family farm was the perfect place to rest and recharge after our busy days of exploring.Traveling with a large family (teens down to toddlers) can be exhausting, but the moment we arrived at “My Happy Place,” we knew we had found something special.The home is incredibly comfortable, peaceful, quiet and welcoming, making it the ideal retreat at the end of each day.Sherry is a gracious and thoughtful host who truly embodies genuine hospitality. Sharing her historic family farm with travelers is such a gift and it made our experience even more meaningful and memorable.If you are planning a visit to the area, look no further. We really enjoyed our stay. Sherry had everything we needed at the house. She even greeted us with some delicious homemade bread. We even lit a fire and roasted hot dogs on our last night at the firepit

Annual road trip

This is the perfect place to stay to get away and enjoy nature and peace and quiet. The house is amazing and very clean and the hostess makes sure your stay is amazing! Highly recommended!!!

A Happy Place Encounter

Enjoyed The Ark Encounter, Creation Museum and Claiborne Horse Farm. But it was absolutely heavenly to come back to Sherry’s Happy Place and unwind after each busy day. Perfect place for a quiet getaway.

Sherry is an amazing host! We enjoyed our stay on the property. However, we couldn’t see the Ark from our window but we could see it driving in at the top of the hill! It was beautiful! The shower needed a little attending to, the shower head may need replaced :) there was also grass at the bottom of our bed sheets when getting into bed. But the bed was super comfy! The property is amazing and secluded not around any busy roads so you could just hear the nature sounds! Sherry also has her property geared for children with a little search and find! We didn’t have our children but had fun looking at all of the little hidden treasures! The kitchen has everything you need! And the best part was the amazing homemade bread that Sherry made! It was delicious!
