The property was secluded and far from the other resorts, which can be both an advantage and disadvantage. However, over all, we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. The staff were very helpful with working around the transportation challenges.

Great resort with amazing amenities. Love the close gated aspect. Only thing is the beach is a bit too small. Would have loved to have a little more entertainment as it was very quiet at all times (a little music would be nice).

Lovely property at the end of the island. Room from improvement would be the overall customer service from the hotel staff. But I must say Kerry and Jamie at the splash restaurant by the pool/beach were excellent. Highly suggest renting a car if you plan on going places and eating dinner outside of the property.

Pros: -The grounds were absolutely beautiful and very clean -Property is very spacious -Highly recommend Medi Restaurant. There were 2 staff who stood out in which their hospitality and customer service were exceptional (Dothy and Heaven) -Beach is quiet and perfectly calm for children as the ocean is fairly rough. There is an abundant of fish to see right off of the shore Cons: - the hotel is fairly isolated therefore they should offer more amenities (coffee, drinks and pastries for a fee in the lobby would be a recommendation as they have the space for it.) There is only one market that has limited options as well as the coffee being awful. It was also closed on a couple of occasions, especially as we wanted a drink. -No microwave in the room -The front desk staff and bellhops were very nice and customer friendly however the wait staff at the Shore restaurant and Splash pool cafe need a lesson in food service/hospitality. Their customer service was below average. They are slow, never ask how your food is and on occasion get it wrong. This seems to be the norm in the Caribbean. They need better training. -Driving can be a little nerve racking in the beginning due to lack of street signs and aggressive drivers, but being from NY, we get used to that very quickly! Rely on Googlemaps which worked out fantastic. -if renting a car, I would recommend taking pictures as when we returned Budget had pointed to a scratch that was already there.

The resort is beautiful, the staff are nice and friendly, the amenities are great, the room is clean, and the two main restaurants Medi and Shore have great food. I had an awesome time staying at this resort and would stay again.

Over all the resort was nice. The staff were hit and miss on the level of kindness and service. You never knew what you were going to get from one place to the next or one person to the next. I would go back but after I experienced other resorts on the island first and without a lot of expectations on friendliness of service. I won’t lump the good people with the not so friendly people. The Medi staff were great as well as the beach BBQ place. The Italian wait staff was lovely but the staff inside the Italian store were not so nice. The Splash restaurant staff were friendly. The front desk people were nice unless you called them on the phone. Then not so much. The resort was clean, our room was nice. The floors needed a good clean but the housekeeping staff were very also friendly.

A estrutura do resort é muito boa, tudo muito bonito e limpo, porem: - Infelizmente a maioria dos funcionarios nao sao simpaticos e nao tem paciencia com quem não fala ingles. - Na nossa primeira noite as 5 AM alguem ficou batendo na porta dizendo servico de quarto, nao atendemos pois sabiamos que era engano, porem mesmo assim o funcionario tentou entrar no quarto passando o cartao na porta dizendo que haviamos pedido pra pegar as malas pro aeroporto. É inaceitavel alguem entrar no seu quarto de madrugada. - Na reserva do Hoteis.com nao havia horario de check in, portanto chegamos as 13 hs e nos informaram que o check in era as 16, que nao sabiam que horas o quarto ficaria pronto mas que poderiamos ir frequentando a piscina ou praia. Portanto Hoteis.com informe o horario de chek in aos clientes. - A cama fazia fazia barulho demaaais, nos mexiamos de madrugada e fazia muito barulho. Foram coisas pontuais, acho que nao demos sorte, mas que infelizmente nos desapontou.

The Santa Barbara Beach Resort is a very large sprawling property right on the Caribbean Sea. Our room was spacious and had a lovely water view. However the furniture was so heavy that it made loud sounds anytime we had to move a chair or ottoman. At all hours we could hear guests in adjoining rooms doing the same which woke us up frequently. There is one nicer restaurant Medi and a couple of casual pizza and burgers places. Overall decent food. Good breakfast. Another issue is that there is no concierge which is highly unusual for such a vast place which also meant no menus to view. Even the front desk had no menus. We were interested in the adjoining restaurant Shore but even driving over there no menu was posted. A big disservice to guests. And speaking of driving - DON'T. Curacao is a nightmare for first time visitors. Road signs are non-existent. Heed this advice- take a shuttle!

I would have liked more choice in places to eat, but the food was very good. I thought they should offer a shuttle to and from the airport. As it was, it was a $70 cab fare. There was a shuttle from Willemstad, but the last one returned at 4:30. They should have later ones, so you can have dinner in town.

Bueníssimo hotel, pero lejos de todo!

El hotel es super bonito, con habitaciones grandes y buen servicio. La playa es buena, pero hay muchas hormigas en la arena y no la desfrutamos porque estabamos con niño. La comida es un poco cara, en especial el desayuno que nos parecio un absurdo. La localizacion es el problema mas grande, porque esta lejos de todo! Para llegar hasta la porteria son 10 min de carro y hasta el centro, a lo minus mas 20 a 30min.

Overall a good experience. A little pricy for food(big portions however) and you have to pay for things included at many resorts(kayaks, tennis, ect) however the protected beach is great for kids and the resort is beautiful

This is a quite property , very relaxing with beautiful grounds. Staff are very nice. There were many large groups in this time , it was more crowded , but didn’t really make us feel like it made a difference in our vacation . Enjoyed our stay
