We made a last minute reservation at the Copper Swan and we couldn’t have made a better choice. The property is old but beautifully maintained and clean. Short walk into Wellfleet center for shopping and activities. We had dinner at Wicked Oyster which is right next door. We will be back..!!

The staff was amazing and the copper swan was quite through out the day and has amazing scenery and plenty of lounging areas outside to read a book under the leaves. The place we stayed in was very clean and felt like home.

Wonderful property! Location was close to a lot of fun activities and the place itself was very pretty, with many beautiful outdoor seating areas you wouldn’t find anywhere else. The owners are excellent and my stay was top tier due to the care they put into small details. If you’re in Wellfleet definitely stay here.

A beautiful Cape Cod inn set just as you enter Wellfleet town. Built some 200 years ago the lobby is full of its storied past and the rooms have great linens and we stayed in one of their newly renovated rooms. It’ll be our go to spot on the Outer Cape going forward.

Charming stay in Wellfleet! Close to center and main route to get to other cape areas easily. Clean and cozy room. Wonderful breakfast basket provided at the door every morning and housekeeping daily. Had a very restful stay here!

Not great.

It was a smelly garage turned into a room. There was a bad smell of mildew and I got sick. There were bugs in the room and a window ac that left open space for insects. Owners left a cute breakfast basket. Never any wifi to access.

A hotel with style and character. Original features and decorated with quality and tasteful furniture. Lovely deck and seating outside. As it’s an old refurbished building the rooms are attractive but fairly small. Breakfast is delivered to the room but there is no small table to sit at so a bit awkward to eat. Fine in good weather as you can take it to the deck.

We were greeted by John (the owner?). He's very personable and sincere. John noticed that I had mobility problems and, on his own initiative, moved my wife and me to a room that was more accessible than the one we had booked. John also gave us some good dining tips. A very nice person in every way.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Copper Swan! I have no complaints and can’t wait to return sometime soon. I couldn’t figure out the A/C in my room but 3days we stayed were quite cool so that was not a problem, and I am sure if I had called for help someone would be able to assist me. Very clean, and the breakfast was so nice. Thank you for caring so well for us

The Copper Swan is a beautiful Cape Cod property on the outskirts of Wellfleet, just off the main highway. Our room was compact but had plenty of storage space and, with two windows, was flooded with natural light. The bathroom had an old fashioned freestanding bath with the shower over it. Our host was friendly and gracious and there was plenty of parking. It was delightful to drink a glass of wine on the veranda as the sun was setting.

Good location for visiting many cape towns. Historical building shows its age but is comfortable and quiet. I appreciated the morning breakfast every day for our adventures outside. AC worked good. More of a self sere hotel limited staff around but they are friendly, welcoming and busy working when I saw them. Wish these new owner much luck with the updates for years to come. I can tell they want to make it a lasting property.

The owner was very responsive to our needs. We are in our 80s and like to read at night, so the owner replaced the 60 watt bulbs with 100 watt ones and brought in a floor lamp, which was very welcome! The owner also personally helped when the internet password provided didn’t work. One of the attractions posted for this property was that a breakfast basket would be provided outside the door in the mornings, but this was changed so that breakfast would be served in their restaurant,which was just opened. The offerings were limited because it was just opening, and we didn’t find much that met our need for low-fat low-cholesterol diet (the oatmeal in the menu wasn’t yet available). I think most people would have enjoyed the standard breakfast items they offered. The restaurants and shopping nearby were great. The Wicked Oyster is excellent and literally next door. Mac’s Shack is a few blocks away and deservedly very popular. The main building where we stayed is decorated with charming pictures and furniture, and there are chairs on the screened in porch and lawn furniture. Our king size bed was comfortable, though a bit high, so we had to learn to get up into it and slide down to get out!

Overall very pleased with my stay, friendly staff, room/property very clean. Only issue was the check in/out was not clearly explained and I initially had trouble finding my room prior to asking a staff member and they were still cleaning it upon check in time which delayed my plans. I was on the third floor and you could feel the heat radiating from the ceiling which made it HOT. Luckily I was out of the room till late and getting back/overnight the AC was able to cool it down but it was unpleasant upon arrival. That aside, I would recommend staying here and would again!
