We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Klaus in Washington, Louisiana. The bar was a highlight, offering excellent service in a charming atmosphere. Our room was spotless, and the mattress was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The hotel itself is a beautifully restored historic gem, with impressive attention to detail that truly enhances the experience. We can’t wait to return and highly recommend it to others!
The hotel is beautiful and rustic. Quiet little town with good restaurant options. Jonathan was always available to answer questions and always accommodating!

Very beautiful concept! Rooms were clean and modern. Will definitely stay there again.
Quite area. Historic building with modern upgrades. Small town with limited food establishments but close enough to surrounding cities to travel out. Would definitely stay again.
Enjoyed our stay in this boutique hotel. Walked to the Steamboat Warehouse restaurant and had a delicious dinner. Had good conversations with other guests in the lobby. We were driving through from Amarillo to Pensacola and found this on Expedia.
We had the BEST time! The area is so quiet & peacful! The entire hotel was so clean & well kept! The pool area was the highlight of our stay! I just cannot say enough good things about Hotel Klaus! We will most definitely be back!
Wonderful Stay! Loved everything about this beautiful property! Management was so accommodating and made check in and out a breeze! Can’t wait to come back and take a dip in the gorgeous pool! So close to antique shopping! Lovely place to stay in town for a wedding! Loved that they preserved all the beautiful woodwork from this historic building and modernized it for comfortable amenities!
Hotel Klaus was wonderful. Johnathon was onky a text away if we needed anything. My husband i were traveling to visit a local festival, but one of the main things i wanted to enjoy was time just lounging in the pool, and the pool w as absolutely perfect for that. The pool area was beautiful and pristine. The room was large and gorgeous. The bed was one of the most comfortable i have ever slept in anywhere. We will definitely return. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is the place.
The history and story of restoration were interesting. Most striking were the helpful and personalized communications from the manager and staff. The price paid through Xpedia was reasonable, I would not use the phone number advertised for reservations as it appeared routed to a call center and was a significantly higher price than online booking price. It’s an old building but that is much of the charm and authenticity of this unique venue. The staff appear to take security and hospitality seriously; the modern plumbing and access to a small refrigerator was appreciated. I visited the pool area but did not swim; it appears clean and attractive.
Needed a quiet weekend getaway from New Orleans and was so pleased to discover Hotel Klaus. It’s a beautiful building with charming touches. The communication from the hotel manager was informative and helpful. Had the pleasure of staying in room #1 - formerly the Klaus family’s dining room. The bedroom and bathroom were both gorgeous and incredibly spacious. Washington has never been on my radar before, but between the incredible meal we experiences at the Steamboat Warehouse restaurant and the treasures found at Schoolhouse antique mall I am already planning a a return visit. Excited for the hotel restaurant to open in the future!
The rooms are fantastic and the mascot cat we named Peaches gave us hours of entertainment. I would recommend this hotel for a great getaway weekend. Love it!
This place was tastefully curated with special touches everywhere. The pool was amazing and relaxing. Our room was the cutest and our friends stayed in several other rooms, also SUPER cute! Communication with the owner was fabulous and he accommodated special requests, swiftly. Don’t miss this amazing places.
Jonathon the Hotel manager made sure we were comfortable with the directions to enter the property and followed up with a phone call to make sure we were enjoying our stay
