Conveniently located to Georgetown University
Easy accessibility to University. Shuttle bus worked out will and good location for local food and shopping.
Except for the proximity to DC universities and the politeness and kindness of the hotel staff, this hotel fails on several levels. The outdated facilities don't come into focus until you notice that they are not well maintained. In room lamp shades and pedestals are wrecked and crumbling; the bathroom's peeling paint and stained tub and toilet seat is repulsive, cleaning tools left in hallways. Floor vending machine out of water bottles. Breakfast venue has stained utensils, water glasses and coffee mugs.

Nice hotel for the price
The hotel has seen better days, but for the price and convenience to bus stops, restaurants, grocery stores, and CVS, it is a great value. The staff were all very accommodating and helpful. Unfortunately, the property has been sold, and it's closing its doors on Friday, November 20. I'm glad I was able to stay there.
The staff was first class. They were friendly and more than glad to help in any way. I was there for my daughter who was in Georgetown University hospital. This location was perfect.
The location was perfect located in downtown Georgetown and easily accessible to
Georgetown Hospital. We are so sad to hear that the hotel will be torn down in a few weeks.
The staff is awful and lead by the most non-customer service friendly general manager possible.
Especially does not support thier client either.
My travel dollars will go elsewhere.

visit to daughter at GWU
the hotel was pretty basic. room was clean. location is okay, but a 20 minute walk to Georgetown center.
The best thing was the closeness to family in the area. We were able to have one grandchild at a time join us for breakfast to get to know each one. The food was good. The hotel is close enough to walk to their home. (The best dessert we had was a warm brownie with ice cream on the side-yummy.)
The Circulator bus picked up nearby so sightseeing was also convenient and travel to Union Station. We got lost coming back, though. Many good local little restaurants are in the vicinity.
The room itself was rather small, but it was clean. The right arm of the desk chair was torn. (Rm 435). The fan from the heater/a.c. blows in your face if you're on the right side of the bed, so we turned it off at night.

Too expensive broken coffee maker slow wifi
I was very disappointed with this hotel for the price. The coffee maker was broken. The Wi-Fi was so slow I stopped using it. Not worth the money

Columbus Day at DC
The sofa bed had an electric cigarette inside and was not clean. The breakfast was good. The parking is ridiculously high $30.00/night. It has in front a Circulator bus that can take you to Georgetown or to the Museums
Hotel itself was fine - just about everything as expected, clean, well-kept. Only exception was the heating/cooling system, which you couldn't turn off - it was quite loud, making it really hard to hear movies/tv and also not easy to fall asleep with as it went on and off all the time. When I called about it, the front desk attendant was sooooo rude it was amazing. Very patronizing, wouldn't listen to my answers to her questions, and then, when I asked her to give me a chance to answer, she put me on hold for quite a while. Finally when she picked up, I asked if this was a good time to talk and she said "Nope, not really, but I'll do it since you called before these people came." Laughably nasty! She ended with "I'll send a mechanic even though he's supposed to be going home now." The very nice mechanic came up and just unplugged the unit (we could have done that ourselves had she advised us). Anyway - good stay other than this nonsense incident.
We found hotel to be very outdated overall. We asked for a room with a king bed, but because we used a "third party" to book, they had to stick to the booking. We offered to pay extra if we needed to get a king size bed but that wasn't going to happen because we used "third party" to book. We heard that phrase several times. Georgetown is a wonderfully charming city. We would definitely stay in Georgetown but not Holiday Inn. No hotel shuttle to speak of. We requested to be picked up one rainy evening from a local restaurant (Filomena's which was we highly recommend) and the hotel staff told us to wait on some random corner needless to say they never showed. It would of been very easy to pick us up right in front of the restaurant.

Rude staff
I have never been talked down to at check in the way the lady did at this hotel! She was rude and acted like it was a bother to answer a simple question! I will not stay there next year.
