Some of the issues with my stay are temporary due to construction, like clarity on taxi drop-off/pickup points. They need better signage inside as well as outside the hotel. The dining situation was rough, though, with diminished options due to spring break on campus. If you have dietary restrictions (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.), you may find yourself in a real desert here. The faculty club dining is expensive and limited. The alternative of ordering delivery by GrubHub is difficult right now, though I'm glad the desk attendant knew to tell me to have it sent to the Hariri center nearby. That still took some running around back and forth with the delivery driver to figure out exactly where when you're not from the area. Quite the workout just to get dinner. As other reviewers have noted, the room is pleasant, but the hotel hallways and especially the bathrooms look quite dated. Also, the room did not have a refrigerator, which is pretty standard these days. As hard as it is to get good food, that's all the more reason the room should have a fridge.
My stay was just as the Covid19 virus pandemic was creating havoc and I had to check out early. Some facilities weren't open when I wanted them - the student cafeteria and the bookstore, both in or adjacent to the building.
There was construction outside, but it wasn't too bad; it certainly couldn't be heard when I was inside.
I'd definitely stay here again.
The front desk staff were extraordinarily helpful and friendly, as was the housecleaner at my room.
Hotellet ligger mitt i en enorm byggarbetsplats,
Och taxibilar har svårt att hitta och vissa bolag vägrar att åka in i universitetsområdet.
Kan inte rekommenderas förrän bygget är klart om ett eller ett par år.
Parking was a pain and it was sort of difficult to locate the hotel due to a ton of construction at the time, hopefully it’s improved. Stay was decent, no complaints on that end. Nice room and beautiful inside!
No signage re construction re-routes + no hot wate
1) It was ridiculously hard to get to the hotel during construction on campus. They made zero effort to put up signs. We were stuck making difficult U-turns and time-consuming re-routes.
2) They don't have hot water - they do have warm water. Surprised to pay so much for a place where you have to grit your teeth to get clean.
The WiFi didn’t work and the shower had cold water that wouldn’t heat up. There is a ton of construction going on around the hotel that makes it very difficult to drive there and park.

Convenient to Georgetown University, but property could use updating. Lots of construction around hotel (continued with construction well into the early morning hours of Saturday! Water was very slow to warm up in shower.
EXTREMELY OLD PROPERTY that needs to be updated & renovated ASAP; bathroom has tiles from the 70s & gross old fixtures that should never be found at any modern hotel! Surprisingly, one would think that a place like Georgetown would prioritize to update their facilities more often! I stayed here 3 yrs ago & it was disappointingly the same; if it weren’t for the location on campus, I’d rather stay at a big box hotel where I know their facilities are modern & renovated regularly! Plus maybe due to the hospital construction next-door, their water pipes burst & they had to turn off the water for 24 hrs on the weekend – how INCONVENIENT is that for the guests?! They should refund me some of my hotel fees for having no water available during my stay!

Parking is tough. There is a lot of construction going on right now. It is a convenient location. The hotel itself is a little dated.

It was the perfect location for my daughters interview at Georgetown University Medstar Hospital interview.
It had a Starbucks, library (for my daughter to study in her off time), and very nice gift shop.
The University is beautiful and our only complaints are temporary....there was construction everywhere and only 12 parking spaces available for the hotel. There was overflow parking available but it’s at the bottom of a very large hill. I was also traveling with my 76 year old mom and I am a cancer survivor and bone marrow transplant survivor (so both of us are immune-compromised and did not want to take the university shuttle from the overflow parking area up to the hotel.
The hotel entrance was not visible from the construction.
I’m sure all of this will be finished in a few months and it will be even a more beautiful campus.
The only thing I really didn’t like was that there were two fire alarms (one at 1:00am) and there was absolutely no communication or announcements about what to do or where to go and the construction cut off the first escape route we tried.
Other than that, the location was perfect and after the construction is finished, I’m sure it will be gorgeous again. They just need to work on the communication during fire alarms!

Disappointment
Small rooms, beds and bathrooms. Rooms were dark. Had two double beds instead of queens as queens would not fit. No sofa and only a desk chair. Front desk staff was very courteous and friendly. Personally I don’t think the room was worth the price
We've been coming to DC every weekend for the past 2 months because our mother is in the hospital. The staff has gone above and beyond to make sure we are comfortable by helping us in every possible way they can.
Only thing this hotel is good is in Georgetown University campus. The staffs are not well educated to do service to the guests, no valet parking, no bell boy service. Parking is $25 per night even though parking is not in good condition. Except the hotel is in the campus, there is no reason to stay in this hotel.

Price and location were great. Used Uber but was told that we needed to catch it on O street, not by hotel. Was fine until we had to lug our luggage there. Seemed weird to have to do that. Was it wrong info from the hotel staff? Can't imagine everyone doing this that uses Uber.
There is no reason to stay at this hotel unless you absolutely need to be on georgetown University campus. The common areas (lobby and hallways) are freezing, there is construction all outside of the hotel which makes it impossible to drive to), and there are no amenities whatsoever. The rooms are run down and look like they haven’t been updated in decades. The bed linens are like rough hospital sheets. The bathrooms in the college dorms are nicer than the bathrooms in the hotel rooms. There are plenty of other similar priced options just off campus that are so much nicer.
The staff was helpful and incredibly friendly, the beds were comfy, and the location was convenient for us.

I liked the convenience of being close to the hospital. The exercise room was a huge disappointment. Check out other hotels and compare what you have and you'll see what I mean.

Poor experience for hospital visitors
Construction around hotel makes this very difficult for hospital patients. It was a very difficult walk for my wife, who was there for an appointment. In the future, I will make sure to get a wheelchair for the long walk. Parking is horrible! Only 10 reserved spots for hotel guests?? This means you have to find another garage to park in, then walk back to the hotel. Hotel only grants late check out to noon, after which they will charge you 75 dollars to stay until 1pm. Onsite breakfast buffet is nothing special, especially for 16 dollars. No microwave or fridge in room. Front desk personnel not very helpful, especially if you call ahead with questions. Some of them not well versed in English. Overall, poor experience. We only stay there because of.proximity to hospital. Because of construction, we may not stay again.
This was my 2nd time in as many weeks, staying here and the service never faltered from the last. The front desk staff were very helpful & personable. They had no issues accommodating and even helped find a restaurant open foe delivery (It was Christmas Day).
There are a couple things once in the room, but they're trivial. 1) a fridge might help guest. 2) taller toilets (I'm 5'1" and they were too short). Other than them, everything was great!
