Good motels but needs work

We did get the theme room but the living area was very dirty including clumps of hair in the tub. Issues with the code to get into the hotel which you had to get from the hotel across the road. Bedroom was clean and beds were comfy. Definitely needs some updating. Next to the car wash, liquor and food store which was good. Walking distant to the down town area

We are very pleased with Simmer Motel. It is a very good choice for a low budget motel. I look forward to when the remodel is done. The staff was super! We will stay here again!

Nice stay

We wanted a place to overnight after the Paxico Jazz Fest. This motel was close and convenient. It was clean and comfortable. I would have liked a coffee maker for a cup of coffee in the morning. Checking in and out was easy. I don't know if they had wi-fi. There wasn't anything in the room about it. Wi-fi would have been nice.

The room we are in smells “wet” and musty. I’m assuming there was a water issue or something in the recent past. Besides the smell, the carpet between the beds by the night stand it pretty gross. But other than that, the property is clean.

The one nice thing I can say was the staff were friendly. The room was dirty. Dead bugs all over the floor. Rust water coming out of the faucets. The air conditioner sounded like a jet engine. Not a good night sleep and not a great experience.

Comfortable but not what we paid for.

We booked our room as a king suite a month before our stay for our anniversary. Upon arrival we learned the room we had pre-paid for was given to someone else and there was not a comparable room available. We were placed in a standard room but management told us that since we had paid through hotels.com they could not issue a discount or refund just an apology. This was very upsetting as we had paid extra for the king suite with the jetted tub. Otherwise the room we ended up in was comfortable but basic. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean and it had a decent sized TV. We have stayed at this motel for the last 10 years and this has been our only negative experience and we learned they were under new management. We enjoyed our stay but it was disappointing.

Worst motel Ive ever stayed in. It is so run down. The place is dirty, furniture is banged up, some stuff works, other doesn't. Only reason I remained there was I didn't see any bugs (which was amazing honestly).

Hotel is nothing like shown. There is no pool or playground. They rooms are no long wizard of oz themed. You have to check in at a hotel across the road.

We booked expecting a mural painted room and a kitschy Oz experience based on pictures and reviews. WE DID NOT get a room that was suitable or as pictured. Our room was in the far corner of a VERY DARK parking area with people sitting outside their rooms on the ground and within the parking lot. We are fans of small town American motel experiences BUT this is straight out of a movie where you don't come out with all your body parts.
