"ocation : around 7 min walk to the nearest station Wakayama. 5 min walk to the convenience store . Room: the room is not very big even though WAKAYAMA is not a big city. In general rooms in Osaka and Tokyo got very small room. Breakfast: free breakfast. The quality and variety is better than I expected even though it is free of charge. A convenient location, 5min (cab)from JR Wakayama, half a block from the main street where all Izakaya, restaurants, bakery and convenience stores are. Walking distance from JR Wakayama. Friendly staffs on site!"

"Did not use either the pool nor spa as we arrived quite late. We used the private open air bath, which was pleasant. The building is very old and our room on the lower level had a very musty smell covered by excessive camphor. The reception is on the 6th floor, and our room was on the first floor - very strange, with no elevator going to the lower levels. It made for a difficult and awkward descent and climb for me, as I have respiratory problems. While breakfast was generous, we found the price to be quite steep for a ryokan with no dinner included. The place is isolated, and we were told not to go out at night due to the presence of wild dogs. "
