We had a great time, accommodation was perfect for us. Jenny was a good host and answered all our questions.
Beautiful peaceful location. Very clean and tidy. Communication was amazing.Jenny and Maarten go over and above supplying breakfast for their guests.Thank you for sharing your home with us.
The property was in a great location for the event we had attended. Very clean, great amenities, everything you needed was supplied. Great communication from the booking process to our stay. Highly recommended!
My two friends and myself absolutely loved the peace and quiet after coming from Auckland City. Our hosts were very helpful and friendly and the pad suited our needs as 3 females. We worked at an Event at Pukorokoro it was close and just right to come back after being outside all day
A perfect spot for a wind down after a long flight and just an hour or so drive from the airport. Jenny and Maarten added those extra touches ( fresh flowers, herbs and veggies from their garden) that made us feel extra welcomed. What a great beginning to our vacation in this beautiful country.
Peaceful and farmland view. Everything we needed for breakfast, thankyou.Bookabach did not send my replies to Maarten and Jenny. They did not know if we were still coming or what time.
Very Easy to Get to this Bach Stay. Warm & Cosy Charm.
Jenny & Martin where Friendly & Helpful.
To have Surrounding Countryside, was Perfect for Chilled reunion with a Dear Friend visiting from Melbourne.
I'd Definitely Recommend, as its Close to Cafés, Highway to Towns.
I Would love to Stay here in the Future.
This was a very safe space for me and m6 friends as we were working here in the area. Imitially it was for one day but then we all decided to start an extra day as we loved the surrounds, the easiness of the host interchange and the access to Highways beaches and Reserves
Maarten and Jenny's B&B was the perfect location as a stopover for a last-minute getaway with my mum to Katikati. Having informed our hosts that we would be arriving late, they gave us clear instructions to get into the property. Just as well as it was bucketing down with a huge amount of wind.
The space is surprisingly big with a single bed in the living room and a double in the back bedroom.
Our hosts had kindly left us a breakfast of yoghurt, cereals, and toast and you are sure to be given whatever fruit or veg is in season along with wildflowers straight from the garden.
Leaving early, Jenny and Maarten were the perfect hosts wanting to know where we were going and they had a genuine interest in my work and past times.
This is a fantastic B & B beautifully situated to the local Bird centre, local walks, and the Hunua Ranges.
Maarten and Jenny are absolute stars. Thank you for looking after us and taking us in!
Very friendly and helpful owners. Comfortable clean and warm accommodation. Loved the bright flowers and the salad greens! A great spot, will definitely be back when in the area.
Great stop over on the way to Auckland airport. The accommodation was very good. Great to have milk, bread, tea etc. provided. Would definitely stay again
The living space is well-thought-out in terms of furniture and furnishings down to selection and variety. My family stayed for 3N4D and felt very comfortable and relaxing. The location is great for us to drive to Coromandel region within a short span of time to explore and enjoy the attractions, especially to the Cathedral Cove, Town Centre and the coastal and hilly areas. Will definitely return in future if opportunity arises.
Jenny was a lovely host who contacted us by phone before our scheduled stay to share details of the b-n-b. Did we like the A2 milk which they sourced from a nearby farm? Did we have any special dietary requirements for the continental breakfast, and so on. Just generally we had a good chat so that it was a pleasure to meet her in person finally and to be greeted with bowls of fresh fruit from the property, and Jenny's sourdough bread when he say down to breakfast in the morning. We stayed overnight in this nicely outfitted b-n-b to attend a party about 6 km distant at the Pūkorokoro Miranda Shorebird Centre. We'd recommend this b-n-b and can we also recommend a visit to the shorebird centre. It has hides for viewing a wide range of shorebirds, and in particular does international work to preserve the feeding grounds along the shores of the Yalu River - part Chinese, part North Korean - for the godwits as they journey each year from New Zealand Aotearoa to Alaska to breed. I think Jenny sometimes does voluntary work down at the centre. I met Maarten the day of our departure, - a musician, and we had a good chat around that. Interesting that he works with sound, because perhaps the dominant feeling we took away from this lovely Waitakaruru property was how silent the night was. A quiet boon for suburban Aucklanders . . .
