Grand Mercure was actually closed for renovation, so we were sent to Mövenpick Petra and our stay was amazing! All Staff were exceptional and we were also upgraded! Mary Ann and all the staff in breakfast were amazing! Chef and all breakfast stations food was great! -evening dinner so much choice and taste was great! Even Ahmed at chocolate hour was really good and attentive- everyone showed love to my daughter and went out of their way to make her happy! Exceptional stay!

Nice property conveniently located 10 minutes from the parking for Petra. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Amazing chocolate offering at 16:00 every day. Understaffed at bar during happy hour. Lacking in vegetarian food options.

A room with a view!

This hotel was the perfect place to base myself for exploring Petra. I received a free upgrade to a bigger room on arrival with a gorgeous view out over the valley. The hotel is out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the main street of Petra which I thought might have been a bit disappointing but proved to be great respite. The Bedouin dinner experience whilst the sun was setting is not to be missed! The hotel staff were very helpful in assisting to organise bus transfers to Aqaba and there is a free hotel shuttle bus that will take you to the other Mövenpick hotel right opposite the Petra Visitors Centre - I left at 7:45am for a morning exploring Petra. A great place to stay!

Good place for one night

Great place to spend one night to visit Petra. Expensive dining option and drinks so have to find alternative. Staff is helpful and even though the rooms are a little dated it is comfortable

The description on Expedia is a bit misleading in that it claims to be 1.8 km from Petra, and while that may be true in a "as the bird flies" sense, it's an 8 km drive from the entrance. Either way, it's a good hotel for the price and had what we needed.

Excellent stay!

Staff was very kind and provided us a very special experience. It was our wedding anniversary and we received a room upgrade and some wine and fruits in the room. We always felt welcome! Swimming had great temperature. Facilities are beautiful, stunning view outside for sunset and chocolate time is great for children. Special thanks to Muhammed from reception and Khalid restaurant manager.

Everything was almost perfect except, the limited parking spots, the paint job inside the hotel, and the carpet on the 1st floor (the color of that carpet is bizarre) ;)

It is a very good 4 star not sure if there is a 5 star in Petra. Rooms were very hot. The service was excellent just not a comfortable stay.

Don’t book it!!!! The scam is they let you book this hotel which has a view of Petra from the high mountain, however this hotel is CLOSED, after you book they will send you a separate email prior to checking in that you have been relocated to a hotel downtown next to Petra with no view!!!!, staff advised on check in that we will get compensated however we didn’t see any compensation.

Sono molto soddisfatta del mio soggiorno qui. L’hotel è spazioso e ben organizzato, il personale molto gentile e premuroso. La cena a buffet è molto variegata, così come la colazione. La hall d’ingresso è bellissima, molto d’impatto. La camera è ampia, ma avrebbe bisogno di essere rinnovata, così come i corridoi e gli ascensori. Molto comodo il servizio di bus navetta per Petra. Raccomandato!

Coup de coeur pour cet hôtel. Le meilleur hôtel ou nous avons séjourné en Jordanie. Très propre, chambre magnifique, plateau de fruit pour votre accueil , mini bar, lit tres confortable, magnifique douche à l'italienne avec d'excellent produits. Climatisation silencieuse. La vue sur la vallée de Pétra depuis la chambre exceptionnelle. Les fontaines intérieur et extérieur contribuent à une ambiance apaisante. Petit déjeuner très bon. Le dîner à la carte au restaurant est très bon, généreux a un prix correct. La crème glacé que nous avons deguster au movenpick petra (car plus de choix de parfum) est très bonne également. Nous avons vraiment apprécié le chocolat time. Notre seul regret est de ne pas avoir profité de la piscine qui est en cours de rénovation. Tout était parfait. Continuez ainsi. Merci.

I cannot compliment the staff enough they totally made this visit. The hotel is lovely and in the Perfect spot overlooking the valley. It is about 10 min out of Wadi Musa in a taxi, but well worth it as you get to have breakfast and dinner on the terrace overlooking the valley. Some rooms just a little tired but ours was great with a very large king size bed. This was the very best part of our trip to Jordan.

Magnificent View

Wonderful experience with upgraded room, magnificent view, attentive service (except for lack of Gluten free bread). The pool temperature was a little chilly at 22C but everything else was exceptional.
