nice place

Nice family run spot, was in area for family wedding. Only problem was housekeeping forgot to come back to pick up garbage one day. We had extra plastic bags so not a crisis. Management very fair on pricing and went out of their way to be nice. Was concerned with customer cash flow.

It was ok stay

Friendly check-in. No toilet paper in the bathroom... called the office but no answer so left a message... no reply. Didn't get tp until the second day. Very poor wifi. Bed comfort wasn't great.

Our New Go-To Motel For The Area

My family and I travel through this area for fishing trips, and basically need a place to rest after the trip from Omaha, before we begin our week at the resort on Dead Lake (Kimp's Kamp). We stayed here based upon the favorable online reviews, and it exceeded our expectations. The room was impeccably clean and well kept, the beds comfortable, the room more spacious than we expected, and the Wi-Fi had surprisingly good consistency. Michelle (the manager) could not have been more friendly or accommodating. We were actually kind of sorry to leave the next morning! This is basically a comfortable, down-to-earth place to get a good night's rest, so don't expect a complementary breakfast and swimming pool. For what we needed in this case, it was perfect, and we hope to stay there again. Thanks a lot, Michelle!

Small motel, comfortable beds.

We checked in 15 minutes late and the staff accommodated us kindly. The room was bigger than expected and very clean. The shower was small and there was only one plug in in the bathroom, but it worked just fine. Overall we were very pleased with our stay.

Surprisingly Comfortable

While the motel building is a bit of a blast from the past, they have upgraded the bathroom and mattress, making the place very comfortable. It was also very clean. Add good quality, free Wi-Fi, and I don't really need anything more out of a room. Oh, it was also at least $20 cheaper than any place else as well. Nice job!

Vintage homey feel

We were in town for a family gathering and just needed a place to sleep. The Brookside fit that bill. It was clean and quiet, it had a homey feel. The owner was very pleasant. We would definitely stay there again.

Great stay at Brookside Motel in Wadena, MN.

Good sleeping conditions with supportive mattress, little road noise. Many channels on cable tv. Outlets for charging phones, using laptop or i-pad. Microwave and frig and coffee maker. Could have stayed several nights comfortably.

nice place for a quiet stay with a home feel

Smelly room.

the bedding towels smelled like bounce. Bathroom smelled like sewer water backing up. Water started coming up the sink in the bathroom. Both of us had a hard time sleeping in the smell of the room. A room over they were talking really loudly until 130 am. We will never ever stay there again!

Wonderful, cozy place.

Cozy, clean, comfortable place on a quiet street, yet within easy access to highway. Staying there felt more like cottaging at Grandmas than being in a hotel. Loved it, and would definitely stay there again.

Great place, very friendly owner!

My first time ever to stay in a motel/hotel by myself and it was much better than expected! The owner was great and so friendly, place was quiet and clean! Only thing was the shower was a little rundown, but worked just fine! Bed was comfy and room was exceptionally clean! Thanks for a great experience! I'll definitely stay here again when traveling to the Wadena area!
