Wonderful boutique hotel with the character and charm of the past, combined with the comfort and the service expected nowadays.
Nice pool, perfect for laps, small but functional gym, welcoming bar with a solid selection of drinks and convenient restaurant.
This is the third time we have stayed at this property. The staff are always extremely friendly and the hotel itself is a beautiful traditional building which is finished to a very high standard. Very quiet and relaxing with a restaurant and bar as well as an outdoor swimming pool in the gardens. A hidden gem in Vientiane.
A blast from the past Yeah, is that you want to st
A very beautiful and small hotel from Laos colonial past
This hotel has been lovingly brought to former glory
Having drinks we almost expected Humphrey Bogart to drop in
Staff were super friendly and helpful
Just loved this place
Lovely colonial style building, the rooms are large and have nice comfortable beds. The staff are lovely - my first room had a strange smell and they moved me immediately without any issue. Nice breakfast, nice pool. the fitness centre is small but serviceable
A digital TV broadcast station is just next door with a tall broadcasting tower. This colonial building hotel has great character and a nice swimming pool. It is located within the city area where embassies, presidential palace, hotels, eateries mekong river etc are located
I arrived early and expected I would need to leave my luggage and return later. Instead I was greeted by friendly and attentive staff who quickly checked me and showed me to my room. My room was beautifully appointed, spacious and very clean. I enjoyed swimming in the beautiful pool. I would absolutely stay here again.
The hotel welcomed us like coming back to my home. Staff was staying at each corner, so it was very easy to ask any requests to the staff whenever I want. The ambience is like 1930’s, which takes me back to the good old time, and it matches to the Laos’s calm & slow atmosphere.
The most grateful thing I’ve had was that the hotel staff arranged the one day tour from the hotel to Vang Vieng even though I’d asked them few days before. For me who didn’t know much about Laos, this one day tour arrangement made my entire trip unforgettable!
As the total experience, being in the good 1930’s era and having a wonderful hospitality from the staff was much more worth than the price. Definitely I’m gonna stay again when I visit Vientiane.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The colonial-style house and the attentiveness of the team is impressive. We only had sleeping difficulties due to a high level of nighttime noise in the neighborhood.
This is a gorgeous place to stay in, particularly during hot season. The pool is very large and surrounded by beautiful gardens. The rooms have high ceilings and extremely comfortable beds. I can honestly say that I have never slept on better linen-so soft and luxurious. The staff are extraordinary-they go above and beyond to help you, particularly important when trying to organise anything in Loas.
Charming old guest house. Rooms are very dates as are bathrooms. Our room opened to outside hallway - had mosquitoes in the room all the time. no bueno
We loved the hotel. It was beautiful and the staff were so good and friendly. My only worry was the breakfast buffet. I am gluten free and therefore cannot eat any of the breads and pastries on offer. I don’t like curry for breakfast so I had eggs most days which is fine but I would have loved more fruit available and some plain not sugary yoghurt on offer.
The room and the hotel itself is beautiful and provided a well needed place to relax and unwind after 2 weeks travelling through parts of Laos. We wished we could've stayed longer and if we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends. Breakfast was a nice variety and the dining area is again relaxing. The breakfast coffee could be better. For the room, it was lovely and my only criticism is that the hairdryer could not be plugged/used in the bathroom. The hotel is walking distance to the city restaurants but of course, could be closer. The hotel transfer at USD15 seems steep given other hotels do it for free but the hotel car is worth the experience .
We stayed for five nights and it was wonderful. Even with two boisterous little ones, we were made to feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were excellent and the pool area and breakfast were fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
