Latica lodge was amazing to stay at! If you’re looking for that community vibe then this should be on the top of your list. Everyone from all over the world staying there, all having breakfast/supper together was spectular. The owners are everyday people willing to help you out with everything they made the stay so enjoyable. It’s definitely off the beaten path, I would recommend having a 4x4 vehicle to tackle the roads getting there and getting around. There’s a couple amazing beaches (best we thought on the whole west coast) super close and they are all so different. Would highly recommend staying here! Pura vida!

Peaceful, quiet small place. Swiming pool small, but very cute and crystal clean water. Rooms clean, nice deco, smooth AC and nice hot water. Great typical food, nothing fancy but great amount and very tasty. A little far from San Jose (4 hours) but just 40 min from Santa Cruz city, only last 5 miles of unpaved road, but no need 4 by 4 car. Staff is the best asset, owners and staff blends for give you a family treatment, one just feel at home, beautiful beaches 15 min around. I will come back.

Une belle adresse !

Très beau lodge tenu par des canadiens. L'accueil était TOP, belle piscine, très beau jardin, des activités sont proposées comme du yoga et meme du trapèze ! Possibilité de pouvoir déjeuner et diner sur place. Accès à la playa negra en 30mn à pied ou 5mn en voiture avec petit parking payant (2$ pour José).

Perfect place to load up with positive energy!

Just gorgeous! You can feel a huge positive vibe since you’re getting off your car, great service, nice and clean outdoor spaces, modern hippie style rooms and breath taking pool! If you like Costa Rican food you definitely have to try Zeidy’s (one of the owners) spoon.

Fantastisk sted! Dette er ikke et standard hotelkoncept. Få værelser.. Nærværende personale.. fællesspisning og bragende hyggelig atmosfære. Wow! Glem alt om buffet og minibar. Her er frisk juice i fællesområdets køleskab, køkkens valg på tallerkenen og vaskægte Pura Vida mentalitet. Poolen er gennemført og man kan slentre ned i "byen". Husk at El Mutante Skatepark har byens bedste burger.

A great choice for us - close enough to Tamarindo (~40 minutes, we went into town a couple times while there) but very quiet and secluded. There are also closer, much quieter beaches to visit. The resort is new and all the rooms are well appointed. The included breakfast was delicious and we added on dinner a couple nights as well. I only wish they had covered seats by the pool so we could have used it more.

Latrica isn't just a property it's a home away from home..the property is remarkably kept the rooms are exactly what you see in the pictures and the staff who are more like family would go above and beyond for you. I highly recommend this property to anyone that is looking for a serene getaway....the property is hidden in the forested area ...expect to see wild life creatures ...but its all part of your experience. I would definitely be back ...
