It’s good for someplace to lay your head for the night. Nothing fancy. The liquor store cashier and the hotel check-in are the same place :D
I wondered about the ear plugs in the room until the dive bar below played music until 2 a.m. Sounded like everyone was having a great time. I can sleep through a hurricane so it was fine. The two guys who worked at the bar were extremely polite and welcoming. Do visit whenever you’re in the area!
The washroom was a problem. There is a need to clean the washroom and it was never mentioned while booking that the washroom was share with many other people.
Definitely get what you paid for. I booked 2 nights and left after 1.
The music was blaring in the pub directly under my room. The volume on the TV didn't work and nobody knew how to get it working. When I asked about the wifi password, they had no idea. All I wanted was a clean place to rest. Didn't quite suffice.
One of the worst nights I’ve had recently. The bar/pub banged music till 3am. I could hear the music and feel the vibrations in spite of wearing noise canceling headphones.
Shower curtain was disgusting, with mold.
Definitely nota 3 star hotel.
The night from hell. There was techno music all night long right under my room, so loud my teeth were vibrating all night. I slept for exactly 1 hour. I found out when I got there that the washroom was down the hall, not in the room. It was hot and stuffy but no A/C and no screens on the windows to keep flys out. The curtains were thin and there is a used car lot across the street so the room was bright as day all night. There was one working electrical outlet. I’ve stayed at hostels in developing counties that were far nicer. Basically it was a noisy, hot, rotting hellhole.
The sheets seemed clean however so that was a plus. I would NEVER return, even if it was free and I was desperate.
Disgusting room, sheets had some kind of stains on them, floors were filthy, bathroom had a missing light bulb, blankets were not washed. Only one girl working and she was on the phone the whole time, very unorganized. Location was very sketchy, the photos online looked NOTHING like the actual hotel room. I do NOT recommend.
No AC or fans, windows only open 1/4th of the way so minimal airflow and the air is stagnant. No minifridge, coolers, or ice, as well as no vending machines so you cannot get food or drink once the amenity store closes. Public bathroom and shower only, in minimally usable condition, and only one shower for male or female. Bus station closest is not frequented, so you have to walk 20 minutes to the train station for public transport, which does not have sidewalks for a majority of the distance. There’s a club downstairs that operates until 3 am and you can hear and feel the music or DJ speaking throughout the night.
Bed sheets had brown/red ish stain left on it, had creepy people starring at us that one had to follow us going on as we were checking in, asked us which room we were staying at us she had her eyes right on my partners purse and fancy bags. as you walk up to the first floor all you can hear is wind whooshing and loud footsteps, if you look for a comfortable and peaceful quiet place, this isn’t the one. We got into our room and the first thing we do is look for a whole different hotel because there was no way we would’ve slept and stayed there. For the first 30 minutes in the room the first thing we did was to try and get out of there as soon as possible. Very sketchy place, the frontdesk lady said I wasn’t able to get a refund over some 48 hour rule when I had booked the room just the night before it. I don’t recommend at all whatsoever. -0/10
It was a good stay for the price especially. The room, sheets, and towels were all clean. The gall that greeted us when we came in is very nice, in fact everyone that we interacted with is friendly. We just stayed a Saturday night...there was a club there with music but it wasn't too loud and I like that music; my partner can sleep through anything so overall it didn’t bother us at all. The only issue was that i didnt notice when I booked it was a room with a shared bathroom. The bathrooms were clean but there's only two bathrooms that we had access to, one for men and one for women, for the whole floor. The Men's shower was occupied from 6:30 thru 9:30 am so we had to leave without him showering.
