"I would first like it felt like bait and switch. I booked for the Corendon Urban Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Hotel and upon arrival was notified that I was now booked in the Residence Inn due to the Corendon Urban Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Hotel undergoing repairs. The lady at the front desk said, "oh it says that, but the website has not be updated saying it is undergoing repairs." She then goes on to say that the room was an upgrade and we can use the facilities at the Corendon Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Hotel next door. I was not happy about that but what could I do. The shuttle is free coming from the airport, however you have to pay 5 Euros for the return trip to the airport, unsure why but again okay. When I asked if I could pay for voucher for the airport I was told to use the QR code, which was about $6 plus change after the conversion from Euros to USD. Upon leaving the next day I noticed that individual who stayed at Corendon Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Hotel had paper vouchers, meaning they were able to pay from the return trip at the hotel for 5 Euros. It may be the difference of a dollar or so, however I feel a little frustrated with the hotel since check in. It was close to the airport, however a 20 to 30 minute Uber or Bolt ride to Amsterdam Central or most activities. Uber and Bolt fees in my opinion were high ranging from 27 to 32 Euros before being converted to USD by the card I used."
