Looks are deceiving, we have stayed here several times and Im very Marriott and IHG loyal however the IHG in Uvalde is unnecessarily overpriced, so ABV it is. Initially I was pretty worried about staying here but was BLOWN AWAY at the super friendly service! Literally everyone I have talked to is so dang nice! The rooms, though recently renovated still need some work in my opinion, however, this is now our "go-to" place to stay when we visit.

The hotel looks old from the outside, but the rooms are renovated, the bathrooms are new, the bed was comfortable, the pillows were soft, the room was clean, and the pool was very clean. I enjoyed spending the afternoon there. My stay was comfortable and pleasant.

Room and the linens were clean and night staff is very sweet. The property and the rooms have passed their shelf life. The current owners have done a face lift but furnishings are dated and dinged up, the door looked like someone tried to break in and the sink was held up on one side by a 1x2. I have been surprised by far worse but for the money this is about what you get for $70 a night.

A GREAT surprise!!!

Since my wife wasn't with me, I was trying to find a place to stay that didn't break the bank. This was the cheapest place in town, so I gave it a shot. BIT WAS I SURPRISED! It was clean and comfortable, and the staff at the front desk were great. I'll stay here from now on and my wife will love it, too!

There was not even one full toilet paper. It was nasty. There was roaches dead on the floor. The bed was very comfortable. There was no control for the TV. I have to go ask them for it. After an hour. They found one, and gave it to me. the bed was very comfortable, so overall, I gave it at three.

The pool was not working. The pool should be priority in the summer. Also, a continintal breakfast would ensure more bookings. The area is expensive. More families will book with a free meal. They only had a one cup coffee machine. Other than that, the beds are comfortable.This place has so much potential.

A clean room but lacking everything else

The room was very clean and the bed was fine. On the negative side the room was dark. Only two light fixtures in the entire room. No facial tissues, no coffee maker and there was not an icemaker on the property.

We got to the room and there were no towels or wash clothes. The TV didnt work but the your woman fro. the front desk fixed it when she came to bring towelsand wash clothes. Once we got settled, my husband went to get our daughter out of the shower and got a big piece of glass from the previous guest stuck in his foot and was bleeding. I cleaned it up but realized there there was still blood on the counter from the previous guest. Also, while I was cleaning my husband's blood off the floor that there was more glass under the bathroom counter. I took pictures of everything and would like a refund. We have stayed at this hotel in the past and while a little outdated it has always been clean with friendly staff. Something being outdated is fine but cleanliness and safety is something that is not negotiable.
