Very Good

Sandat Bali Ubud Guest House was pleasant
Sandat Bali Ubud Guest House required quite a few maintenance issues however which made it a little disappointing. We had real trouble getting into our room and locking it when we left to go out, when we advised management, nothing was done to rectify the situation. The staff were pleasant and the atmosphere of the property was lovely. There was a lot of construction going on with the surrounding neighbours which detracted from the peaceful nature of the place but I would recommend it for its location being close to surrounding attractions.
Lovely little place close to all the action in Ubud. Walking distance to everything. We got the larger room and lived it. Staff all very nice and helpful.

Overall okay stay
We stayed two nights at Sandat in Ubud, and it was an overall okay stay. The hotel lies within a little cozy green area, but as they are currently expanding/maintaining there is a lot of noise from around 7 o'clock. The room we stayed in was spacious, with a great little balcony. We arrived late on our first night, which we informed the hotel about, and they where fast to reply on email confirming the late check in. The owner (A woman) really wanted to help us, and make our stay better, but she sadly came off as a bit pushy sometimes. A stay with mixed feelings...
A really nice guest house close to the Ubud centre. Room was spacious and clean with a nice large bed. Ended up extending our stay, great value for money!
We had a nice stay at sandat bali. The room is spacious, the staff is welcoming and nice. The room has all the basic things you need. It's a great homestay to experience the community lifestyle of the balinese people. We extended our stay and spent almost one week there. However the staff is always pressuring us into using their tourists services or renting scooters... Everyday and sometimes more during the day, they always want to know what you are doing and the prices they offer are higher than the average in ubud... At the end it was a bit irritating.
The rooms doesn't come with toiletries like stated in website, u need to ask from reception. even towels. environment not bad, just its quite noisy as you can hear people talking at lobby area from rooms even after 12am, the person incharge should at least notify the guest to low down their voice after midnight.

Ok for price
Hotel room fairly clean, toilet could do with a scrub!!
But over all for the price ok, good location. Don't get staff to arrange a taxi they take charge more than getting one of the street.
The hotel is very simple and ran by a family. All staff was really nice and helpful.
The location is central and easy to get around.
The major problem was the mosquitoes during the night even with air conditioning and the shower that split water all over the bathroom's floor.
I recommend this place for solo travelers who are on a budget saving.

Good but there's scope of improvement.
The place is a homestay with facilities like a guest house. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The facilities which were available on the website at the time of booking were not all available. The complimentary breakfast was certainly very frugal. Overall, had a comfortable stay.
We stayed in Sandat Bali for four nights and liked it a lot. It was clean and rooms were spacious and hotels staff took care of cleaning every day. Breakfast was great, especially omelette was delicious. Price of the rooms were low and the quality was great. And great location, under 1 km to city centre. I could warmly recommend this hotel for everyone.
We initially booked 4 nights but ended up staying a week. We really liked Ubud and the surrounding countryside and this was a great hotel to be based. Good, clean and comfortable rooms, nice breakfast and a great location in town, but still quiet at night. Staff were helpful with motorbike rentals and booked our onward tickets for us also.
The rooms are large for the price & the location's quite central so it's value for money. The service is attentive & constant, from the staff & owners. However, some rooms smell a little, are quite poorly lit, have bathroom doors that are warped & don't close well. Time for a reno, I think.
The rooms are simple but clean and spacious. Towels are provided but no soap (found that a bit disappointing) and no safety box either. Other than that you have everything you need. We had hot water and a beautiful balcony overlooking the lush courtyard and neighboring temple. Great location directly in the center and close to delicious warungs and fun bars, yoga etc.
By the way: tons of mosquitoes in Ubud and dengue going around, so come prepared and use your repellents and long sleeves at dusk and in the rice fields.
Mama and Papa and their family take care of your every need. You can rent scooters and organize your trips (cars, boats) from here as well. Breakfast is delicious and served in a communal setting where we met the other guests, some long term, some just traveling through, but everyone had a good story to tell.
We stayed here for two nights. Felt like a homestay, because of the very friendly family who run it. Beautiful garden and great breakfast (omelette highly recommended). They made us breakfast at 6 without problem when we had early departure, no effort too much. Would definitely recommend. Only minus: shower too hot :)
Had a great stay here, me and some buddies checked in for our 3-nights stop in ubud and this was one of the best pitstops so far on our trip. Great service, really friendly staff and a very nice host. It's a little bit of walking down to the city but not too bad, they do offer to rent you small motorbikes for a reasonable price though.
The home stay is located a very short walk to the main street. The staff is lovely and the owner is very friendly. I would ask for rooms on the second floor because of the views. The showers are great, and beds are very comfortable. The air conditioning units and fans are top quality. In the morning, a choice of tea, coffee, banana pancake or tomato and onion omelet is offered and they are all delicious. Cooking classes are also offers on site. I will come back!
