Would recommend staying here - perfect location to get into central Ubud with lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The hotel was lovely - clean, traditional-feeling and lots of lovely free extras such as traditional tea with snacks, welcome drink/leaving drink, foot massage and yoga on the rooftop. Considering Ubud is busy and lively the hotel was very calm and quiet. The staff were amazing - always so friendly and more than happy to help. The breakfast was amazing - lots of traditional dishes (and western dishes) to chose from. The room itself was spacious and very clean. Overall would definitely recommend staying here!

Lovely hotel with comfortable and attractive room with many amenities. Staff eager to help. Breakfast very nice. They do have a house car/shuttle but it was never available to us when we wanted to go out. They did organize a fantastic tour for us customized to our specifications- we were delighted. Overall highly recommend!

I can't say enough fabulous things about this hotel. WOW - they were excellent and we loved the amenities! The staff were beyond kind and caring. They made everything easy for us and were helpful when I had questions - we paid for a few extras and it was well worth the price - the room decorated with flowers and a candlelight dinner for two. We loved it!! The room was gorgeous too - spacious, clean, well stocked, and had a beautiful balcony. The pool was nice as well! The shower had great water pressure (it did alternate between hot and colder temperature water but we honestly didn't mind it, as the pressure was excellent). There were plugs on both sides of the bed too which is important for me. Additionally, the hotel is a nice location - there is no sidewalk for the first few meters on either side but it's still walkable to places. If not it's a quick grab ride away from Monkey forest and the Ubud market. We were blown away - seriously, we will definitely be back at this hotel one day!!

Purana offers genuine and heartwarming hospitality. Wonderful breakfasts. You can sign up for free Yoga sessions. We felt very welcomed here!

Perhaps the best hotel in Ubud

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed at anywhere. It's fairly new but the staff were brilliant, friendly and welcoming. Overall the hotel is fantastic but really it's the staff that made our stay so special. They were delightful. The welcome is something in itself. While we were collecting our thoughts and sorting out the check-in, we enjoyed a welcome drink while the staff took our luggage to the room. We then we're treated to a welcome foot massage. All complimentary. The rooms are spotless and well furnished. The bathrooms have excellent rainfall showers and large bathtubs to relax in. The staff were very accommodating of my vegetarian diet and were happy to cook off-menu dishes for breakfast. The spa, while much more expensive than the local competition, is well worth the price. The spa therapists are well trained and and friendly. There are also other complementary services such as morning yoga with a fantastic teacher and a shuttle service that will drive you to and pick you up from locations in Ubud. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the number one hotel in Ubud very soon.

Wat een prachtige super de luxe hotel. Net nieuw alles tot in de puntjes afgewerkt. Personeel is heel behulpzaam, wij hadden een persoonlijke assistent. Locatie prima, 10 min lopen naar monkey Forrest. Er is ook een gratis taxi service. Scooter huren is ook zo geregeld en in 20 min ben jij bij de Rijstvelden tempels watervallen. Er zijn ook Allerlei leuke activiteiten in het complex, offer maken, bamboe vlechten, schilderen, kookles, yoga. Wij verbleven in de Villa, wat een luxe. Private diner, maken ze het zwembad helemaal mooi met kaarsen en bloemen. Verder ontbijt / lunch brengen ze naar de villa als je wilt. Echte aanrader.

Monkey forest

A wonderful place to relax in Ubud. The rooms, service and food are really beautiful. After noon tea is thrown in and the staff always go the extra mile. Down the road from almost everything you need to do and see.

This is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. The room was AMAZING. It smelled beautiful, it was clean, the aesthetic was lovely and modern, and it was very comfortable and quiet. I wish I spent more than two nights here. The staff was extremely sweet as well. They went above and beyond to ensure a great stay, and they were genuine warm and friendly. Whenever I revisit Bali, Purana Ubud Suite will DEFINITELY be my number 1 choice.

Amazing rooms, great location and helpful staff

I was staying at the hotel in October, a bit worried about the few ratings, just to find out it was because the hotel was only one month old. Our stay here was initially only 2 nights, but because of the amazing staff, comfortable room and great location we decided to extend our stay 1 more night. The next day we extended our stay further 2 more nights, because we just didn’t want to leave. They offer serving breakfast in your room (which is awesome) and the day we arrived, we arrived around 10 PM, so they had prepared some sandwiches for us in the room. Also, they have free shuttle service around the hotel and to the city center, so you don’t have to pay for taxis. They basically go the extra mile. Probably because they are new and want to get the good ratings, but the staff is brilliant, so I don’t doubt it’s just how whey are.

Best place ever!

The Puranas suites would be amongst the best places I’ve stayed in. They have only been open a month and their attention to detail and anticipating every whim of their guest is extraordinary! Such a beautiful hotel and super friendly and accommodating staff.
