Our stay was good we stayed for 3 nights. We found it odd that the toilet would not flush at times and then randomly would start working but we stayed in an apartment and it was great. The apartment was very spacious and provided mostly everything.

An amazing stay

The stay was amazing top to bottom. From the clean spacious room to the view over looking the pool. There’s a cleaning lady that comes in every morning to keep everything clean. The receptionist was super nice and called a cab for us everytime we went out. Would highly recommend this place as it’s in the perfect area if you want to travel to the beach or go to the city

Great experience

Our room was 303(-A). We had our own swimming pool at the top, the place is clean and large. To us, the location was fine, our tours picked us right at the hotel_when it was “Mexico Kan Tours” or at a supermarket called “Super Aki”, when “Sat Mexico tours” took care of it. It’s only 10min away from Watal, by car (200 pesos with a taxi). Watal is connected to another hotel, “Copal Tulum”, they face each other. This is where the two main restaurants are. Japanese at the top or European/ Mexican in the bottom. The food is really delicious.

There is no fresh water at this hotel, all the water coming out of the taps, sink, and shower is salt water which destroys your skin This hotel did not have complimentary water and charged 150 pesos per 500ML bottle. Absolutely terrible considering there is no fresh water coming out of any of the taps. There were also an insane amount of mosquitos and other bugs inside the unit. On a positive note, the furniture and aesthetic of the room were very nice.

Malisimo, es un engaño lo de las habitaciones.

La foto principal del hotel se muestra con alberca y no existe. El registro lo tienes que hacer en el hotel Copal que es cerca de ahi, ya que no cuentan con recepcion. Fui por aniversario de bodas y me dieron una mini habitacion con dos camas individuales separadas. Vivi el peor momento y no pudieron resolverlo, todo super incomodo. Yo habia reservado la habitacion que aparece con cocina y sala de estar y lo que te dan es un anexo .

Excelente estadía, lugar hermoso, volvería

Tuvimos una excelente estadía en Watal, estuvimos en un apartamento de una habitación, la cocina estaba equipada, el espacio muy amplio, la decoración muy linda, todo igual a la foto, teníamos una terraza con piscina privada y sillas al igual que el acceso a la piscina común. La atención de todos fue estupenda y nos ayudaron con todo lo que necesitamos, especialmente Jazmín fué muy atenta y amable, excelente que justo enfrente está un lugar de alquiler de motos y una estación de taxis al igual que el hotel Watal con 2 restaurante estupendos y rooftop. Justo al lado está un cenote rústico también muy lindo vale la pena ir a verlo.

Watal Hotel Tulum

I stayed at the Watal hotel for 3 days on a solo trip. I had an apartment room with kitchen and dining area on the first floor with a patio that includes a private pool and full access to the main pool. All rooms are very spacious & they have security at the front of the hotel mostly 24/7 that has a key code to enter. I loved my apartment room & having full access to the sister hotel Copal amenities. I loved the layout of the whole apartment especially the bedroom. Front desk is mainly there and you can access them by going there or through WhatsApp. I had a few issues such as … since it’s in the jungle it gets very hot & humid if you don’t have the fan and/or ac on at all times. The shower pressure for hot is very weak but it’s get hot. The bathroom didn’t have a bright light on top of the mirror so it’s hard to take pictures in there. There was also a raw sewage smell coming from the toilet on my last two days that was very strong. The shower floor didn’t look that clean/new to me so, I wore flip flops when showering. The private pool only has one temperature which is cold and the patio chairs were dirty. The Wi-Fi is very slow on iPhones but good for the most part when using tv to watch Netflix, YouTube etc. It was hard sometimes to ask questions/information due to majority of the hotel speaks only Spanish & the one person that does speak English he would mostly redirect me to the sister company Copal hotel for further assistance. My stay was good for the most part.

Amazing hotel, excellent friendly staff

I stayed here for 3 nights and from start to finish had a lovely stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, (especially Ismael and Andres). The room was clean, there was an issue with the toilet but they fixed it immediately. We also got use of the hotel opposite (Copal) which had a lovely pool area and excellent restaurant which served a great breakfast, lunch and dinner. The location is in a good spot in the town, having a rental car is useful in Tulum in general. Overall I can’t fault anything about this hotel and would love to return. Massive thank you to the staff for making our stay so amazing

DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL This was the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed at!! I travel lots. The room I had was an adjoining and the door was paper thin. I asked hospitality TWICE to mention it to their guests AFTER I banged in the door because of their excess noise. Once at 2am. Woke me up!! My room wasn’t cleaned for a few days. I asked hospitality about this and again nothing. Four times I reached out and each time I got an automated msg telling me their operating hours. Never once did they address any of the issues. Then I went to the front desk. They had me leave my keys so the room could be cleaned. I went out. Came back. Again no cleaning. I had no clean towels left and no toilet paper. Terrible. They didn’t even offer a cup of coffee. I know it was a boutique hotel but come on!!! I was totally ignored. Then went to Expedia with it and they were also ignored. DO NOT EVER BOOK A HOTEL THAT SAYS NON REFUNDABLE!!! How can you give poor service AND not refund honest ppl?? I left three days early and never got a red cent. I’m out $330!! Expedia gave me a $100 coupon (with lots of restrictions) This my friends is greed in the best form. Shame on Expedia for dealing with such a poor hotel. PLEASE BE WARE!!!!

Modernes Hotel nähe Tulum

Modernes Hotel in der nähe von Tulum in dem neu gebauten Hotel District, zum Tulum Centro 10 min mit Taxi. Das Hotel ist gut eingerichtet, sauber, das Personal sehr freundlich. Leider fehlt die persönliche Note. Einige Armaturen & Geräte sind jetzt schon defekt oder schlecht gebaut ( Steckdosen kommen aus der Wand, Wasserhahn und Co). Parkplätze sind überall im das Hotel kostenlos. Wie alle Hotels wird auch auch hier mit Sicherheitsdienst bewacht. 24 H Rezeption. Beim nächsten Tulum Besuch würden wir ein anderes Hotel wählen. Hier sollen eigentlich nur die besser Esser Kunden & Instagramer People einchecken..

The property is close to an unsafe area. This should be mentioned online that a taxi is recommended from the bus terminal. Check in was late. The bikes provided for an overpriced cost were death traps- my brakes didn’t work. I asked for refund, which they couldn’t help with. Construction noise until midnight

Guter Aufenthalt. Nichts zu bemängeln. Die Wohnung war gut ausgestattet, lediglich hellhörig war es im Haus. Die Lage in aldea zama ist hervorragend. Check in problemlos geklappt. Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt.

Loved it! Home for a week!

Great place…. The property is beautiful it was quiet, and our room felt like home for a week. Full kitchen except coffee filters and hand towels we had what we needed for meals in room. Good location out of town but not far. We rented bikes and locked, them up our front… riding to town or the beach every day.
