The hostelteam is very nice and friendly. We got a lot of important and necassary information about Tulum and other locations next to Tulum by them. All their recommendations have been worth to visit. So we could spent a great time there with the right mix of relaxing and culture impressions. No mistake to spent some days there. And a great experience with the containers which have been modified as great rooms.

This Hotel Doesn't Exist

This hotel is impossible to find and does not show up on GPS. The shuttle driver drove us around Tulum for over a half hour and we asked multiple people and could not locate it. The contact phone number is disconnected and is a Mexico City number. Even when Orbitz tried to contact the hotel it was impossible to reach. They should no longer be listed on Orbitz.

If the price was the price..

I booked this accommodation expecting to pay $34 a night. Upon arrival they added 19%. The fine print states an added 3% would be charged, but 19%. Price aside.. - it is a decent place to stay. No frills. A bed and bathroom, but decent. - it’s on the highway. I rented a bike from the hotel and there is a short distance you are riding on the shoulder of this highway. It’s not too far but worth noting if you’re planning on utilizing a bike while there. It’s about 1 km or so from the main area of the town. - the noise from the highway can be a factor if you’re a light sleeper. - there is hot water, but in my shower at least, the hot water and cold water didn’t see to work correctly. My water would go from warm to super hot, I’d turn the cold water on and the water would turn cold. Eventually I just laughed and continued to adjust the water every 45 seconds or so. - if you actually pay $34 a night it’s a decent place to stay. I’m not good at haggling and I did have my Expedia confirmation but I just went ahead and paid the extra money.
