Room was clean and everything worked properly. They’re remodeling so a bit messy outside but that’s to be expected.

My 2 favorites about this property were the location (right off the freeway), and the woman who checked me in. It was very late when I arrived, and her smile and hearty “Welcome!, made me feel as if she had been waiting up for me just as the Motel 6 jingle says, “We’ll leave the light on.”
The interior area of the property, where the rooms & parking are, had great lighting. And considering there seems to be lots of guests based on the number of vehicles, it’s very quiet.
Let’s talk about the bed… I rarely find a comfortable bed at hotels, but did at this property. Ahhhh…

Great one-night stay. Excellent service at front desk. Room was simple and clean; all I needed for a quick overnight before back on the road. If you are looking for bells and whistles; this is not the place. If you need a beautiful building with beautiful architecture, this is not the place. BUT... If you want a safe, clean and efficient place for a very fair price...do not hesitate. I'm glad we made the decision to stay at thi sproperty/location.
It was a place to just stay for a night while visiting friends, bathtub didn’t drain good at all and fridge wouldn’t keep things very cold. But overall it was a good experience for a night.
In general, this facility looks like an old No-tell Motel that got bought out by Motel 6.
On the positive side,
- the room was clean (inside) and spacious.
- Fridge and microwave worked well.
- Location was convenient and accessible.
- One story, no stairs
Negatives:
- Lost of trash in parking lot
- Door had deadbolt but the flip-over door brace typically found at hotels appears to have been disabled.
- Electric socket on one side of the bed didn't work.
- Blankets provided all the warmth of a thin table cloth.
- Bed was extremely hard, like sleeping on a board.
- Wifi did not work - we could connect to the router but the router wasn't receiving internet access. I tested the access in two different guest rooms and the front office, and it didn't work. I needed internet access for my work so this was a major issue - I would not have rented the room if it hadn't advertised that it had internet access.
- Woman at front desk was nice but had no idea how to fix internet access or who to call to make this work. She had her child (10 years old?) try to fix things but he wasn't able to get it working either.
- walls were very thin so we got to listen to neighbors watching TV late into the night.
- Only places to eat nearby were McDonalds, Subway and a couple convenience stores. Motel is out in the middle of nowhere.
Overall the room was so uncomfortable and inconvenient, we left a day early, even though the room was paid for. Terrible experience - I really want a refund.
Pubic hair all over bathroom when checking in! Pee on the back of the bathroom door. Looks like someone peed on the lamp shaded. Toilet constantly clogged every time the toilet flushed.
I recently stayed at this Motel 6 and was pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean, and the overall atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. It wasn’t crowded at all, which made for a stress-free stopover. There’s not much to do in the immediate area, so it’s not really a vacation destination—but if you’re on the road and just need a good, comfortable place to rest for the night, this location is perfect. I would definitely recommend it to anyone passing through who needs a simple, clean, and reliable place to stay.
The room was very nasty. The bed had not been changed had hair all over it the bathroom floor you could see where urine had been splattered on it and not cleaned up. The floors had not been swept the exterior of the hotel had beer bottles laying all over and beer bottle caps when I reported this to the hotel they really didn’t say much about it just sorry
I chose this location, because I wanted to bypass Amarillo. Yes I read previous reviews. Should have taken heed.😁Place is under remodel new Ownership/ Management. Sorry but the place was filthy. Floors unclean. Bathroom floor was sticky from urine. No! I left early, didn't try to sleep. Place had a strong "Bates Motel" vibe.
It is obvious they are remodeling but that does not excuse the lack of cleaning a room properly. The bathtub had hair left in it and the floor was not clean. Also, the wall plate in the sink area was broken with the wiring exposed, not safe! The outside area had trash piled up with weeds in the gravel area.
Inexpensive , clean and efficient. It is an older property but it is well maintained. They air conditioner worked like a champion. Bed sheets were extra soft and mattress comfortable. Good place to stay.
The biggest problem is they need a maintenance person who can fix things. Bathtub had a hole that had been patched with the wrong material. They have a bird problem, swallows everywhere leaving large amount of bird crap everywhere. Bedding and towels were nice and clean. Front doors on all the rooms were faded, scratched and looked horrible. The saving grace for the owners is that this is the only hotel in town.
