Lovely stay

Lovely hotel located half way between Mirmare Castle and central Trieste, 5 mins from the waterfront, good bus service outside. Very quaint and old fashioned but perfectly functional and spotlessly clean. Beds were very comfortable. They provide rice crackers at breakfast, as an alternative to bread (useful if you are gluten free) Staff were friendly and helpful. Windows were double glazed in our 2nd floor room, so no problems with traffic noise. Free Wifi was ok for social media etc.

In need of a makeover

The hotel does not deserve its 5* status, maybe 50 years ago but is now rather tired and in need of a reconstruction. Could easily be restored to grandeur.

Gutes Haus an der Hauptstraße

Sehr gutes Hotel. Gästeparkplatz gratis. Freundliches Personal. Gutes Frühstück. Großes Zimmer mit konservativer Einrichtung. Unser Zimmer lag an der stark befahrenen Haquptstraße und die Fenster wurden in der Nacht mit Scheinwerfern angestrahlt. Das Stadtzentrum von Triest ist mit dem Bus gut erreichbar. Der günstige Preis zu Weihnachten ließ uns die kleinen Nachteile vergessen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Danke!

Un albergo di ottimo livello a 5 minuti dal centro

Abbiamo prenotato questo albergo che non è in centro poichè le disponibilità di camere negli hotel del centro era scarsa ed i prezzi elevati. L'albergo è curato, elegante, comodo parcheggio gratuito, camere ampie, pulizia ottima. Una menzione particolare alla prima colazione servita nel locale all'ultimo piano con terrazza e vista mare impagabile; solo il caffé non era all'altezza. Il rapporto qualità prezzo è ottimo.

Hübsches Hotel in Strandnähe, Innenstadt fußläufig

Wir wurden sehr zuvorkommen behandelt. Das Frühstück war gut, das Speisenangebot für das Mittagessen und das Abendbrot war fein. Die Hotel-Lobby und die Bar waren vornehm. Die Terrasse des Restaurants bot einen weiten Ausblick über den Golf von Triest. Unser Zimmer mit Terrasse war ansprechend; die Klimaanlage leise. Jeden Tag gab es frische Handtücher. Alles war angenehm. Der zum Hotel gehörende Parkplatz war großzügig ausgegelegt. Der Strand lag schräg gegenüber einer vielbefahrenen Stadtstraße hinter einem Park wie eine etwa 4,5 km lange, gepflasterte Promenade. Darauf kann man bis zum Schloss Miramare bummeln. In das Wasser ging man über Leitern. Das Stadt-Centrum war ebenfalls etwa 4,5 km weit an jener Stadtstraße fußläufig erreichbar. Es gibt überall kleine Café-Häuser und Bars, ideal für einen Dolce-Vita-Urlaub.

Älteres Hotel mit viel Charme

Wir buchten ein Doppelzimmer um die Anreise zu einer Kreuzfahrt mit der Stadtbesichtigung zu kombinieren. Das Hotel liegt zu weit vom Stadtkern für einen Abendspaziergang, Taxi unbedingt bestellen (ca. 10 €). Das Hotel ist sauber, allerdings zeigen sich deutliche Gebrauchsspuren. Unser Zimmer war nach hinten gelegen, daher sehr ruhig, jedoch war die Schallübertragung im Bad zu dem oberen Stockwerk zu gut. Die Badezimmerausstattung sollte dringend erneuert werden.

Das Hotel hält nicht was es verspricht. Das Zimmer sehr abgewohnt. Das Frühstück ließ sehr zu wünschen übrig. Es wurde nicht (oder nur schleppend, auf Nachfrage) aufgefüllt. Internetanschluss trotz gegenteiliger Beteuerung nicht möglich. Personal an der Rezeption überheblich bis unfreundlich.
