"I've stayed at the sandman for years, and the staff at this property really stood out. This hotel is in the midst of renovations. Truth be told, it does need it. The rooms were clean , the pool was smaller then i expected, but also clean. The staff more than make up for any small inconveniences that you might find with parking etc. I look forward to coming back after it's finished the upgrades!"

"Room was good, reasonable-ish rate. Clean and quiet for the price. We kept getting locked out of the room as the cards for the lock would expire way before we were done with the room. Annoying to have to go to the desk for replacement keys twice. Kids enjoyed the pool. Lots of parking. Comfortable beds. Good location for going out to see things. Feel like it was a safe area. Didn't get to use the restaurant so can't comment on that but it smelled real good as we walked by a couple of times."

"This was our first time in Winnipeg and it was a wonderful experience. Staff were really friendly and helpful. It is an old building but looks nice and well maintained. Makes for a perfect historic site right in the center of Winnipeg, would definitely recommend!"
