My accommodations were better than I expected! The rooms were very clean and smelled clean on arrival. Check-in was easy, the beds were comfortable. It was relatively quiet except for some guests talking in the hallway late at night and street noise. Earplugs came in handy. Overall great accommodations and I’d stay there again!
Its location was nearby in Downtown , restaurants and shops. The room was big and clean but it lacks a utilities or appliances like a microwave and fridge. But overall the place was great.
Oak House is very convenient to the transportation system. The views were nice. The rooms and bathroom were spotless. We had 2 adjoining rooms with a full private bathroom in between (Jack and Jill style). The rooms were small. The beds were twin size with clean sheets, pillows, and cozy comforter. It's a good value. I would stay at Oak House again.
If all you're wanting is a place to sleep, shower, and get ready for your day that's quiet and clean, but want to stay in downtown Toronto and can't afford the downtown hotel prices, this place is perfect. It's conveniently close to everything. There's public transportation right outside your door that will take you right into downtown quick and easy. There are no TVs, fridges or other amenities in the rooms, but if you're not planning on spending a lot of time in your room, then again this place is perfect.

I don't think it's clearly communicated that this is a dorm hall being rented out. The room only had a bed and a desk, no night stand. Other than that, it was clean and comfortable.

The actual stay was great. The room was very clean and I was very happy with the accommodation. My only feedback was the parking situation. Check-in, I asked about parking, I was not given very much direction as to what was available in the area. I drove around for a long time and eventually asked ChatGPT about the closest parking. There was parking one block away at the graduate house, part of the University of Toronto. It would’ve been so helpful had the front desk provided that information.
The place was overall great. Very clean, quiet, bed was comfortable enough, and AC worked well.
However they do not provide designated hand soap, just conditioner, shampoo, body gel, lotion and towels.
The AC only goes down to 20C, so it might struggle in the summer to make the room comfortable. As well some airvents blow directly at the head of the bed, making it very drying.
There is NO ICE MACHINE or fridge at all. I think this property could really benefit by providing ice for guests.
Being a country girl I didn’t realize or read properly that it was dorm rooms not being used in the summer. - My husband and I had a joining room - meaning a double bed in 2 spaces or rooms with the bathroom in between with a sink toilet and shower. No mini fridge no tv which in this case was ok as we were out and about except to sleep. And having your own space and not sharing with spouse was ok. Beds were comfortable. No hair dryer. Only 3 hangers Good WiFi the area was great for public transport with subway and above ground trains and bikes to rent. Good non box store places to eat. Value for your money
