Stayed at the Jim Butler passing through and was very impressed with the size of the room and cleanliness.
No reception but once booked in by the staff at the Mizpah across the street by the wonderfully helpful staff everything was fine.
The hotel is situated pretty much in the middle of town and is a perfect stopover.
This was the least expensive property on Expedia in Tonopah for good reason. It is older and while clean, not particularly updated. The beds were very uncomfortable to us but that’s also subjective. The only part I was disappointed with was having to go next door to check in and there was only one person working and she was extremely overwhelmed by the sudden rush of new guests. Not her fault, but it was a long wait to get checked in.
First you have to go to the hotel across the street to check in and go back to your hotel to your room!. I opened the door and smelled bad, the carpet had big stains all throughout the room! The lighting was also bad, very dark.
There was not a remote for the TV and no phone, so I had to walk across the street to get one, but she asked me what brand of TV was it so I had to walk back againt to my room to check so she could get the right one, fortunately she brought on back after a half hour. Terrible experience!!
