Holiday Inn - Fr4ench Quarter, Perrysburg, OH

This was a great hotel. Very close to all things Toledo - Downtown, Toledo Zoo, Toledo Art Museum. Lots to do in the hotel itself - 2 indoor pools (one for adults that connects to the outdoor pool and one for families), ping pong tables, billiards tables, video arcade room, restuarant and bar on the premises (that hosts entertainment on the weekends), two local drinking establishments within walking distance (no really, you can walk to them). The decor gives the feel on New Orleans' French Quarter. Try it out.

A/C was very noisy, no dvd player at room, breakfast buffet was very poor, table was very dark due to right bulb was broken. Person at front desk was not respectful. Overall, this hotel was nothing better than Holliday Inn Express.

It's a huge hotel and has some very pretty parts. Our room was not great. No desk, no information book about the hotel... the WiFi is SUPER junky and was barely usable in our room. Walls are thin and we were woke by slamming doors till passed 1 a.m. The kids pool is fun but the big room that it's in is COLD. They do have ping pong and a pool table which is fun. The arcade has six machines and 3 of them were out of order. There is not supposed to be food and drinks inside the gated pool area but adults were drinking alcohol while in the pool. Kinda trashy. Like I said, the hotel is huge and kinda cool. Some really pretty areas but a lot of things were not great about our stay.

Overall a thumbs up

Room was clean and comfy. I had a king with jetted tub. Very nice, but as I was relaxing I noticed the cracked seams could use more caulking. I did notice the people next door were smoking in their room.. which then traveled into my room because there was an adjoining door. I can't stand cigarette smoke. You can hear people's conversations next door as well. Room service was great! I ordered 8 minutes before the cut off time and the staff was very friendly and my sliders were awesome!

Saturday night the pool area was packed full of people. For some reason the pool staff had the door to the outside open. The pool area was freezing. It was making the pool water so cold because it took all the heat from the water. They kicked everyone out of the hot tub and then wouldn't even let my 4 year old put her feet in the water and sit on the side. She was in tears. We tried to address the issues with the front desk manager, but she was so rude and mean. Refused to give a partial refund or do anything to help. Now I see why they are closing in March.

Had a great time at the Holiday Inn French Quarter. Stayed here 37 years ago for our honeymoon. Wanted to stay again before it closes. Beautiful hotel. So sad that it's closing. The hotel rooms could use some updates but they were nice and clean and comfortable. The new Orleans decor is wonderful! So sad to lose this beautiful hotel.

Great Experience

Went there to celebrate a birthday party. There was a band in the bar area that made the evening fun, pool area to keep kids entertained and a very nice brunch on Sunday with live jazz music. It was much more that an average stay in a hotel. It was a great experience.

This hotel was dirty and run down. Low class public staying here. There was a fight between 16-18 year old teenage boys in the unsupervised pool area and my 9 year old son almost got hurt as a result. The management was horrible and without remorse. I hardly ever give a negative review, unless I feel a social obligation to protect other people from getting hurt. Do not stay here.

When we arrived it was late. Once in the room we noted blood on the sheets on the far side of the bed. Slept all the way over on the other side, yuck, but it was late. Called the front desk the next morning and told the lady that answered about the blood. She was very apologetic and said she would like to give us a free dinner in their restaurant that night. Explained we were in town for a wedding and would be at Rehearsal dinner that night. She said that she would figure out another way to make it up to us. I asked that the sheets be changed and the room cleaned before 2:00 pm as we would need to be back in the room and change at that time. We got back at 2:15and the room was still not cleaned and bloody sheets remained. Room was cleaned later after we were gone. Never received anything from her for this mess. I would say that the only bright spot of this stay would be Gail in the hospitality room. She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable after a very long trip. The next night while in this same area the manager was present. We tried to initiate conversation with him but he would answers us with his back to us. After pressing with conversation about the hotel, He did eventually turn around and offered us a drink but we were leaving for the wedding at this time. This was not a pleasant stay and we would not return to this hotel. It could be nice but is in need of an update.

Decent hotel for the price

We chose this property because of the swimming accommodations for our daughters. The pools they could use were over crowded and parents weren’t really watching their children, allowing them to act a little crazy. So much so that my daughters didn’t even want to swim.

The hotel has a nice concept just needs updating, the staff was very friendly, our room was very clean but small, bathroom is almost nonexistent, no refrigerator. The bed was comfortable. The pool/game area was out dated. The adult pool is a nice idea just need a bar. I would stay here again when in the area
