Wha a beautiful hotel!! We stayed in a deluxe family room and it was very roomy and beautifully designed! Location was super convenient from train station (arriving from Narita airport and departing JR train the next day). Wish we had longer at this hotel! This hotel is in a convenient location between Yushima and Ueno train stations. Easy walking distance from Skyliner terminus The room was minimalist style, small kitchenette with a few utensils and bowls but no chopping board or pan lid so cooking your own meals from scratch would be difficult. The rooftop public bath has a great vista over the Shinomizu ponds so fun to relax in after a long day of exploring Cafe on ground floor has a small offering of hot foods, cereals and breads, as well as free coffee, tea and juice.

Great hotel in Ueno. Being right across the street from Ueno Park was a huge bonus. You could spend days roaming this beautiful green space complete with temples and shrines. Tons of cherry trees as well, but we were early and saw a few early blooms. Room was great - big for Tokyo. Simple but satisfying buffet. Laundry and of course the onsen was a bonus. The comments from a few others about the bars and noise and "not so nice" spaces behind the hotel are so dramatic - gave the place a sense of real - loved walking streets all around this location. Would stay again.

The room was fairly clean. One thing that was bad was that the hallway is open to the elements so it was too cold to go to the onsen in the property due to having to walk in very cold temperatures between the room and the onsen
