I had a wonderful stay at GLOU Higashi Shinjuku. The location is fantastic—super convenient, just steps away from the metro and close to plenty of shops and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful, making the check-in process smooth and comfortable. The room and facilities were spotlessly clean and well maintained, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, a great experience—I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo!

Loved our stay at this hotel! Great value for the price. The room was bigger than we expected of Tokyo; the staff were super helpful and friendly; check-in and checkout process was very smooth. Location is fantastic - we explored most of Shinjuku and Shibuya just walking from the hotel. The subway stop is 3 minutes away as well. Highly recommend this spot!

Great value and excellent location. Very clean as well and easy check-in/-out. Only a bit small/narrow especially with the bed on the upper floor but that’s not uncommon in Tokyo. At times, the wi-fi is a bit patchy/unstable but nothing too bad. Highly recommend as an affordable option!

Pretty Okay Stay

GLOU is located in the residential area away from Korean Town in Higashi Shinjuku. It is a 3-minute walk from exit B1 from the Fukutoshin Line (Tokyo Metro) and a 13-minute walk from the JR Shin-Okubo station. Check-in progress was straightforward, and our room was very spacious for a room in Tokyo. We stayed across from the main building, where reception and coin laundry are located. Some issue we had during our stay was the odor (the room smelled like feet-maybe because the room was carpeted and the ventilation was not amazing; I had to get room refresher spray day) and squeaky bed/bed frame. It would've been nice if there was a humidifier since the air does get air throughout the night. Overall a nice space where we can comfortably lay out all our luggage in the room; a good 12 min walk to Golden Gai/Kabuki-cho. 7-11/Lawson are within 2-3 blocks away. Located near busy streets with lots of Korean shops.

Well located - 10-20min walk to most touristy things in Shinjuku, and 2 min walk to the subway for everything else. Tiny as everyone says. Open your suitcase & put it under the bed for some space. If you have carry on plus checked luggage, probably not the hotel for you. The bathroom is tight, but totally useable.

It was literally right next to a train station so you could get anywhere you wanted. food street and shopping around the corner. the staff (ken m) feel bad i don't remember girls names were so helpful. i literally bothered them day and night for directions and they would draw maps and call places to help make reservations. rooms were small but that's only cause i have huge suit cases. the showers had great pressure and hot water.

깨긋하지만 너무 좁고 시끄럽고 다소 위험했던…

저렴한 비용을 이유로 선택한 숙소였기때문에 많은 기대는 안했었지만 사진이나 소개 내용에 복층에 사다리를 타고 올라가서 앉은 키가 조금 큰 사람은 머리가 부딪힐 것 같은 천장아래서 자야한다는 안내는 없었다. 사다리가 엄청 불편했고, 가장 힘들었던 부분은 방음이 안된다는점, 쿵쿵거리고 시끄러운 말소리 다들리고 바깥이랑 바로 연결된 창문이어서 바깥에서 전화하는 소리 다 들린다. 추천하자면 깨끗한 침구랑 실내, 청소해주는 서비스, 욕실의 물살은 좋다. 그냥 하루종일 돌아다니다 피곤해서 잠자는 숙소용으로는 가성비 깨끗함으로 괜찮다. 키가 크거나 몸집이 좀 있는 분들은 아마 복층침대는 사용 못할것 같다. 방의 컨디션을 잘 알아보고 예약하시길…

Gran zona y personal muy colaborador

Cumple con todas las condiciones y necesidades con una buena relación, calidad precio (aunque eso depende de las fechas, es bonito, seguro y sus instalaciones son nuevas). Su personal es de lo mas atento, cordial y muy colaborador. Instalaciones cómodas y modernas, el formato es de pequeñísimo departamento, con lo que sugiero (en general) evitar llevar gran equipaje a Japón. La zona es la mejor para alojarse, en mi opinión ya que hay diversas maneras de movilizarse y hay una línea de metro al lado, también lugares cómodos para comprar alimentos y o desayunar o por ejemplo comprar algunas entradas. No está en una avenida principal sino en una pequeña calle lateral, lo que no representa problema, pero mejor llegar con Google maps o traer la dirección impresa en japonés. Escribo esto porque otros comentarios me ayudaron a organizarme. Buen viaje!
