A Western-style hotel

We booked the hotel because we hoped it would be easier and quicker to get to the airport from it for a 6 am flight. We prefer hotels that are homestays and less Western, or what's the point of leaving the west? Having said that, this hotel served its purpose. In a good location - on a main street yet still quiet at night - wonderful shower and hot water and excellent staff. They were very good about many issues including letting us print boarding passes and some other material - which is how we found out that the airline changed our flight to 7:30 am.

Great deal for a comfortable stay

Price: Got a suite for the price of a standard. So thought it was a great deal. Location: 4. Good for shopping, eating out, temple, secretariat, commute to other places Look and feel: Good for the price. Clean and good overall. Bathroom: Clean. towels were clean but time to buy new ones Hall: Was clean and sufficient space with 4 sofas. Might need a flat panel tv. Dressing room: Nice Bed Room: Comfortable beds. Spacious with sofa and closet. Clean. Has flat panel tv here. Bit noisy though. Overall: Great for the price.

Centrally Located

My stay was comfortable But there are couple of points Pankaj Hotel needs to look into (a) The commode seat cover is broken at the hinge (b) Hot water/lukewarm water was not available in the bathroom. Monitoring by the staff before occupancy could eliminate such flaws

A budget TVM Hotel

Positives: Very tasty and varied food and an excellent rooftop restaurant which is well worth visiting for a budget meal in the city. Very centrally located with taxi/ autorickshaw ranks close. Negatives, small and rather dated rooms. Service is quite poor both room and restaurant. The Hotel is well past it's prime and could be refurbished. True, the room rates are quite competitive..
