This basement suite was clean,
comfortable for 2 couples and in a place that was easily accessible from Jasper.
We enjoyed the short walk to Folding Mountain Brewery for dinner and beer.
Highly recommend.
Very happy with our stay. We appreciated all the little extras that the host provided to make our stay comfortable. A lovely spot outside of the town of Jasper. Thank you Amy :)
We really enjoyed our stay at this location. It was clean and comfortable after long days of hiking and sightseeing. Even though it just has a kitchenette we found it to be very functional and the induction cooktop met our cooking needs.
The area is beautiful and we also enjoyed a meal and craft beer at Folding Mountain Brewery which is within walking distance. We highly recommend staying here.
Amy is an excellent host!
My husband and I spent 4 nights in the Cedar Suite outside of the east gate to Jasper National Park. The suite was well maintained and very comfortable, perfect for what we needed. We loved that the brewery was just a short walk down the road and hung out there most nights - great food and live music on friday. It is a basement suite but you have access to the patio so we were still able to enjoy the outdoors.

A Good Spot for Sleeping
Clean and roomier overall than what we expected as there's a second living room (with a pullout bed) and TV. Bathroom is new and good water pressure (+ very hot water). Good WiFi, too. Bedrooms are small and mattresses a little soft.
We didnt use the back deck but it looked great, as did the grill.
A three-minute drive from a gem of a brew pub.
We stayed for 2 nights. Everything in the apartment was as advertised. It is very close to the East Gate of Jasper National Park which was unfortunately closed during our stay due to wildfires. The host Amy was very helpful in addressing all our questions on what is open and what to see etc with all the closures. Since the family lives upstairs, we could hear the footsteps when they were walking about but they were very considerate to keep it quiet after 11PM. Would recommend this to others.
Family vacation. Great for what we needed. We weren’t there much because we were out most day light hiking/exploring. It is a basement. Windows were limited. Supplied well for most part. Fridge space is limited. We have 2 18+ yo kids and it was nice with extra room for them to have own areas.
Overall this was a great place to stay… some things to know: -the owners live upstairs (as described), and there will be some considerable noise at times… -after showering there was a good amount of water on the bathroom floor, no matter how we adjusted the shower door… -the hair dryer is melted on the end, but still functional… -this was the squeakiest bed we’ve ever stayed on!
We picked this place for the location… I highly suggest you wake up early and take a drive to Cadomin, we saw 3 grizzly bears!
Everything was great, rooms clean orderly and quiet. Kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed.while it was a downstairs unit with family upstairs it was still quiet. Great stay, would recommend!
Kitchen had ample plates cutlery etc, bbq to useSmall eating area with stoolsHost was quick to respondClose to national park , drive 30-40 minutes to Jasper but that was stated in listing Retail stores and restaurants 15 minutes away in Hinton
This basement condo was well appointed and private even though its in the basement. It had everything we needed for our short stay of 2 nights. The bed was comfortable, place was very clean and kitchen had everything we needed. Only downfall was it being about 40 minutes from the town of Jasper. We enjoyed our stay.
It is fine for a short stay. Kitchen is limited for cooking, just 2 burner hot plate on counter, small microwave and no dishwasher.
It is a basement apt with considerable noise from people walking around upstairs. Small children running around and up/down stairs. This was during the day and not later than 8:30 or so in the evenings so we ignored it and didn’t bother the owners during our 3 night stay.
We spent 2 nights here. Check-in was easy. This basement suite has everything you need. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom had all amenities. The outside area where you have BBQ and lounge chairs could have been cleaned. BBQ ustensils were soiled as well as the air fryer in the kitchen. There was a lot of residue on the deck where the dryer exhaust was. The screen door would need to be replaced as well. Overall, we were comfortable, we knew it was a basement suite, but we realized that we feel more at ease in a space with more light and openess.
Our family of four stayed for 3 nights at the Cedar Suite. It is a comfortable, homey condo that had everything we needed. It was actually larger than I thought from the description. Next to the kitchen area is the couch with TV. And in addition, there is another completely separate room with couch that rearranges into a bed with TV. The distance to Jasper township is a bit of a drive, but is beautiful and we often saw animals. This was my first time using a washer/dryer combination and we finally figured it out. We also had use of the back deck, and enjoyed the view. The owners responded to my questions in a timely manner.
Unit feels newly renovated, with nice new furniture and fixtures. In addition to the essentials, they've also supplied board games and video games, in case the surrounding nature isn't enough.
We didn't get to stay as our VRBO account did not acknowledge that we had a reservation and we had no way to communicate with the host. We ended paying for a reservation we couldn't use. Both VRBO and the host were negligent in this and VRBO should issue us a full refund.
Apartment had everything we needed. A little further out of Jasper but we felt was well worth it in terms of cost v benefit - accommodation in town seemed really overpriced for the standard. Huge benefit was having the brewery at the end of the road - we went there every night. Hosts very easy to communicate with. Apartment itself was really well stocked with additional treats that we really appreciated. Would recommend to others!

Suite is in the basement with no windows in the main living area and only small windows in each of the bedrooms. There was no thermostat in the suite so were dependent on the family upstates to regulate. The suite was very clean and the manager was very responsive to a couple issues we had. It is located just outside Jasper east gates but no real way to enjoy the scenery if a rainy or cold day.
