Liked: Property conditions & facilities
Traditional rooms. Clean rooms. No special amenities but the bathroom does its job. I liked the eveni bc Veena recital. I had traditional food and was good. Restaurant Staff is primarily non localite but they were eager to help with our selection for local food.
A very neat and safe property that provides a serene and peaceful stay. Facilities are great and well maintained with attention to customer issues . My a/c started leaking and they addressed it immediately. Would definitely stay again.
We stayed in Room 503 for two nights (April 1–3, 2025), and unfortunately, the condition of the property was disappointing.
Bathroom: The floors were dirty, and I have pictures showing mold in the corners, which forced us to shower with our slippers on. While a hairdryer was provided, there were no accessible plug points to use it, rendering it useless.
Toilet: The toilet was unstable and wobbled when in use because it wasn’t secured properly on one side. Additionally, the hand shower (bidet) next to the toilet was leaking, causing water to spray onto our legs and soak our clothes. One of the most baffling design choices at Svatma was the use of a glass door for the toilet, which felt awkward and impractical.
Room: The ceiling fan was covered in dust, and the bedsheets were extremely worn out, with noticeable pilling. Given the price (₹10,000 per night), we expected better-quality linens. On a positive note, the mattress and pillows were comfortable.
Surroundings: While the outdoor area in front of the hotel is beautiful, it was nearly impossible to enjoy a conversation with our friends due to the relentless mosquitoes. We also had mosquito issues inside our room, though the front desk promptly provided a Goodknight mosquito plug-in, which helped.
Pros:
The property itself is serene and aesthetically pleasing. We truly hope management addresses these concerns so that future stays can be more enjoyable.
A beautiful heritage hotel located near the big temple.
Friendly staff, excellent spa and good location.
Morning breakfast service can improve. Only 1 or 2 staff available. A smiling, friendly face will definitely improve the ambience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and when checking out regretted that we had stayed for only one day. The hotel is one of a kind with traditional decor with modern amenities. Every inch of this hotel was meticulously designed and decorated - hats off to the architect/decorator. The swimming pool and the garden had a very calm vibe and it was a pleasure to stroll. The spa was one of the best - one of the most relaxing experiences with a nice balance of traditional medicated oils and aroma therapies. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and recommend this place.
Exceptionally good, exemplary service from all the staff, from the reception to the restaurant. Literally service with a smile! And always with a helpful attitude. The complimentary breakfast was a sumptuous spread of items to cater to every taste. The chef(s) are maestros, it seems, as the vegetarian lunch and dinner food was also delectable. The few "flaws" (problems with the electronic door locks, and a wall plug panel that wasn't put back properly, for instance) were so minor that they did not detract from the overall experience. One wished, though that the resort provided a little more information about the hotel itself and it's environs. A great experience overall!

Disliked: Staff & service
Never stay again or never recommend
The hotel displayed as 24 hour room service, Luxury hotel which is not true.
1. They don't provide room services because they said room gets destroyed!!
2. Their restaurant operates in thier own timings, after 10 PM, no food, before 7.00 AM no food, after 10.00 AM no breakfast, before 12.00 Noon no food, after 4.00 PM no food. This is a ridiculous service, i will never recommend anybody to stay here for vacation.
3. They dont have medical services, i was in need of a medicine at 8.00 PM, the manager said the shift staff has left, and it’s not possible to get medicine. I had to go around city for medicine by myself. So bad service, a 2 or 3 star hotels will provide somebody to help. But this hotel people didn’t even bother to show care. If this was a medical emergency it would have been more worst.
4. They do not provide extra pillows - the pillows provided were very thin and not comfortable
4. They do not provide two sets of vanity items, all are only one. Even after requesting for additional shower gel etc never provided
5. They provide only 2 towels and 1 hand towel for two people stay, expect you to use for entire day. A very tiny bath room, where you cannot even place them for drying.
6. The provided towels were torn, and shame on to be called as a luxury hotel.
7. I wanted to give a good review of their spa therapists, they are excellent service, but the products are allergenic on skin for me.
8. Their laundry service is really sharp, I appreciate them
Due to COVID their spa and food menu was not up to mark. Though we were informed everything is operational. The bathroom stinks due to bad ventilation.
Nice old property with lots of trees. Not very convenient to get to. Chef accommodated our special requests. Prompt service. Room needs more lights. Pigeon droppings outside the windows and their noise can be stopped by wire spikes. Hotel could use more airflow and better air filters.
